However, that is not the case and Ellie decides to let Abby go, despite the fact that she has killed almost all her friends and hunts them down like an animal. The last of us part 2 has one of the most confusing stories in a video game, and this moment certainly personifies it.
Pretty much everyone expected to play as Solid Snake in Metal Gear Solid 2. However, fans were thrown for a loop when Solid Snake was shelved in favor of Raiden, who became the main protagonist of the game.

It turns out that the lone survivor was cryogenically frozen longer than he expected, with Shaun being an old man nearing his deathbed who wants his father to take over as the Institute’s leader. This revelation would have made perfect sense… if the Institute hadn’t been hard at work killing its potential leader again and again!
3 Hojo is the father of Sephiroth (Final Fantasy 7)
Final Fantasy 7 was a milestone for SquareSoft, making them one of the biggest and most celebrated developers of JRPGs during the genre’s golden years. Fans absolutely loved the story of Final Fantasy 7where Aerith’s death is absolutely heartbreaking.
However, the game has another plot twist that most fans find rather odd, with it later revealed that Hojo was actually Sephiroth’s father. The fact that he apparently had this child with the woman who was Vincent’s betrothed made this plot even more complicated for no reason.

David Cage games have a habit of playing really brain-melting plot twists that make absolutely no sense. That was the case with Detroit: Become Humanwhere Kara finds out that the child she was protecting was an android all along.
This twist would have made more sense if Alice hadn’t been an artificial model that could get more people into the game. The fact that Kara somehow missed all the commercials for this kid was really hard to fathom.
1 Scott Shelby is the origami killer (heavy rain)
Heavy rain is arguably the best Quantic Dream title out there. But even this riveting murder mystery is fraught with problems, most of which come to light when the Origami killer’s identity is revealed.
It turns out that the Origami killer is Scott Shelby, one of the characters players controlled. This brings in a lot of plot holes, especially when it comes to the Manfred chapter, which becomes completely nonsensical with this twist.
