Video games are meant to be an escape from the real world. Sometimes we often wonder “what it’s like to be the bad guys”. Well, in video games we can find out. Here are a few games that will help you with those feelings.
#13 Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition

We’re going to be honest with you here, if you pick up the Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition, you’re taking a bit of a risk. Especially since you may remember that this game was quite literally buggy at launch. To the extent that it was basically unplayable in some versions.
We can’t say for sure that the Switch version is better, so again, you might be taking a risk playing this. That said, if it works, you’ll get the original GTA games and relive what made this series so famous and so infamous.
The choice is yours.
#12 Origin of Deadly Premonitions

This next one is a game that has become a classic in the most unique of ways. Because most would agree it’s a bad game, but it’s also kind of like “it’s so bad it’s good”? We never got it, but it’s now on Switch via Deadly Premonition Origins!
In the game, you play as an FBI agent who is desperate for an entity known as the Raincoat Killer. But as you progress through the city where it all takes place, things get weird and wacky in a way you probably don’t expect. So get ready for a mind trip no matter what.
#11 This is the police

This is the police is undoubtedly a very unique crime game. In it, you play as the chief of police for a city on the move. There are multiple goals at play, but there is one that is clear above all. You have to make 500K in 180 days, because then you will retire.
But how you get that money determines both your fate and the fate of the city.
Because with politicians and mobsters vying for power, you’re one of the few keeping this city on track. So your choices will matter and determine what kind of chef you are, and how much you care about protecting the city you swore.
#10 Deadly Premonition 2: A Blessing in Disguise

See, the sequel that nobody thought would happen, and yet it happened. Deadly Premonition 2: A Blessing in Disguise actually acts as both a sequel and a prequel to the original game.
You play as FBI agent York again, but this time a crime in the present will send him back to the past to try and figure out what’s going on. This leads you to a new city that you can still have unique interactions with, including the ability to ride a skateboard around it.
Because with this franchise? Why not?
#9 Series cleaner

As many in the entertainment industry show, when you commit a crime, you need someone to clean it up. Serial Cleaner makes you such a “Cleaner”. Your job is simple yet complex. You are brought in to clean up a crime and make sure there is nothing incriminating to feed back to your bosses.
You have to get in and out without leaving any traces or traces of a crime. It’s all about detail and speed, and you’ll need both to survive in this 70’s version of a crime world. What will you be by the time this story ends? Jump in and find out.
#8 Empire of Sin

In the 1920s, the amendment banning them led to a lot of things, not least crime lords using the public’s craving for alcohol and other prohibited things to commit a literal and figurative murder. In Empire of Sin, you go back to that time and take charge of one of 14 different crime bosses. Including those from history like Al Capone.
Your task is simple, create your criminal empire and bankrupt the competition. How you earn your money and power is up to you. But know that your enemies are everywhere, and that making more is always a goal.
#7 Monaco: Full Edition

Who doesn’t love a good heist? In Monaco: Complete Edition, if you can plan ahead and have the right team, you’ll have the chance to make the best ever.
Assemble a team of expert thieves to make things work. But who do you choose? Who are you going to trust? You can play the game alone or with friends so you can rely on each other when you take the multiplayer route.
Remember, it’s not just about the score, it’s about how you get it and make it out alive. Think you can do that and pull off the perfect heist?
#6 Hotline Miami Collection

It’s a bit of an understatement to say that the Hotline Miami games are brutal titles that make you question your own sanity. These “neon titles” you can get are meant to be both old-school in look, and new-school in terms of violence and brutality.
The Hotline Miami Collection includes the original game, as well as the sequel in Wrong Number, as well as the soundtrack for both titles to help you enjoy the pack even more.
We will be very clear here, these games will not be for everyone. But if you’re into the events that take place here, you might want to give it a try.
#5 LA Noire

LA Noire was definitely one of the more unique titles Rockstar Games has ever developed, and we don’t necessarily mean that in a bad way. In the title, you play as a detective assigned to a series of grisly murders in Los Angeles. This version of LA is very similar to the old Noir movies, but in color.
The questions you have to answer are really determined by your detective work. You have to interview witnesses, collect clues from the crime scene and more. But the real questions will come when you start puzzling things together and realize how corrupt the city is.
#4 Saints Row IV: Re-elected

The Saints Row franchise is about to get a reboot with a new crew and location. But if you want to go back to the last mainline game they had, Saints Row IV: Re-Elected is the one you want.
This time the Saints are getting a bit political. The boss becomes president long enough for an alien invasion to take place and most of the population to be enslaved by the evil Zinyak.
Now the boss must escape from a virtual world and retrieve all the saints who survived, and face the alien threat. Meanwhile, unlock more and more superpowers!
#3 Hitman 3 – Cloud version

We admit that Cloud Gaming is not for everyone yet. But if you’re ready, you can get Hitman 3 – Cloud Version on Nintendo Switch and probably have a really good time with it.
In the game you play again as the legendary Agent 47. You have a new set of contracts to fulfill as well as huge places to go and set up your kills. But the question is… how are you going to do that? Do you go for the direct approach if possible? Are you going to try to get creative? What clues do you get on your way to the goal?
Enter the world of killers and see where it leads you.
#2 Payday 2

You could argue that Payday 2 is easily one of the best crime games ever. Because it’s all about the art of getting away with crimes like theft. You play in a team of four people and you will rob different banks in all kinds of ways.
But it’s so much more than that, you have to have the right crew, the right plan, and then execute it flawlessly or things will go wrong.
Plus, with all the DLC for the game, you get new scenarios, new people to work with, and new ways to carry out your crimes. Do you remember, in the end? It’s all about the Payday.
#1 Saints Row The Third – The Full Package

It’s honestly a bit poetic that we started with a GTA title and now end up with a GTA clone. But make no mistake, Saints Row The Third – The Full Package is proof that a clone can sometimes outperform the original.
Because in this game you will experience the street gang known as The Saints at their peak. They’ve taken over Stillwater and now they’re going to take over a place known as Steeleport. But that won’t be easy as they will have to face a rival group known as The Syndicate as well as the government agency known as STAG.
You are the boss, make everything work and make the city yours.
