Sure, a house might be “the place where you store your PlayStation 5 and/or your gaming PC,” but that doesn’t mean you can’t decorate your space to pay tribute to your favorite hobby. Today, video game merchandise is no longer from stuffed toys and pins, but to a variety of furniture and decorative items that can be displayed in your home, apartment, dorm room or other living space.

If you want to make your home feel even more like an ideal “gamer heaven”, GameLuster has some suggestions for you. Here are ten downright bizarre pieces of (mostly) genuine tie-in merchandise that can be used as decorations and can really turn your gamer house into a gamer house.

Honorable Mentions: Ditto Beanbag (pokemon), Xbox Mini Fridge, Umbrella Corp and T-Virus Scented Perfume/Cologne (dweller of evil), Barrel-shaped candle (Red Dead Redemption 2), Pea Shooting Slippers (Plants vs Zombies), Mario Shower Power Hand shower (Super Mario Bros.), and absolutely any size/material replica of Norman Reedus’ Funky Fetus (death stranding)

As any true gamer knows, it is no longer enough to cover the rear window of your car with bumper stickers to declare your love for different games and series. No, you have to go all in – with this Duty-theme Jeep Wrangler. To be quite honest, it’s not that much different from a normal Jeep Wrangler, except for all Duty logos blazon practically everywhere. Still, it’s probably the most gamer car out there – well, at least until they legalize life-size real-life roads Mario Kart vehicles. Soon, hopefully!

9. Sonic Wine Glasses – Sonic the hedgehog

You can really impress guests with the most stylish crystal work: wine glasses with the logo of the Sonic the hedgehog franchisee. While the official tenth anniversary Sonic glasses made by Sega are probably quite pricey, sites like Etsy offer fan-made variants featuring all of your favorite characters: Sonic, Tails and, of course, Knuckles. You can now add “&Knuckles” to the end of any chic party you throw in your home using these absolutely stunning wine glasses.

8. A gaming toilet

To have a real gamer house, you need to be able to game in multiple places, not just at your desk. And why waste those precious minutes you spend with the john every day when you could GAME instead? Conceptualized by a Japanese designer, this ‘gaming toilet’ would include features such as an ergonomic seat for maximum comfort, Wi-Fi connection, console mounts, headphone storage and more. For a simpler model, you could instead opt for the “Toylet,” a SEGA creation with a small screen and access to a limited number of games.

7. Travis Touchdown Toilet Paper – No more heroes

If you want to have a game toilet in your house, then you should of course have some gamer toilet paper with it. Suda 51 has you covered with this limited edition No more heroes toilet paper, which allows you to maintain good cleaning hygiene with the help of protagonist Travis Touchdown and his various enemies from the League of Assassins. This linked merchandise is particularly suitable, as Travis uses in-game toilets to store his progress. Unfortunately, this toilet paper doesn’t seem to come with that feature.

These days, being a gamer is cooler than ever – which of course means that more and more companies are trying to capitalize on the trend by creating gamer-themed apparel and merchandise. While some of these include real-life characters or tributes to iconic video games, others simply say “GAMER” to them. Now you can mark your GAMER identity in any part of your home. Comforter? yep! Carpet? You’ve got it! Tablecloth? Probably out there somewhere! Never let your friends and family forget that you are a true GAMER!

This huge, cozy plush version of Gigantamax Gengar from pokemon Sword and shield can be used for different purposes. It can make a cozy bed for your cat or dog, handy storage space for your other game-related stuffed animals, or just somewhere you can stick your head in and pretend a pokemon devours you when you have to escape the stress and chaos of life in 2022. Disclaimer: probably not as good as being eaten alive by a factual Gigantamax Gengar. Probably.

Sexy body pillows or cuddle pillows – also known as dakimakura in Japanese – consists of a video game for just about every character you can think of, which might make it hard to pick just one to cuddle with in bed at night. But here at GameLuster, we are fully convinced that there is one perfect choice: none other than the tall, dark, and handsome Waluigi, a returning nemesis of the Super Mario Bros. series. He may not have made it into Smash, but Waluigi CAN make his way into your living room, bed, or any other cozy spot in your house! Plus get two in one with the Wario equivalent.

3. Anything that makes your house smell like an Xbox

You’d think the “smell of Xbox” would be mostly Mountain Dew with light notes of Dorito and maybe a little sweat too. Well, apparently you’d be wrong. According to this official collaboration with LYNX, which includes deodorant, body spray, shampoo and more, the “Fragrance of Xbox” is a blend of citrus, mint, sage, patchouli and clearwood. With these hygiene items you can make yourself AND your whole house smell like an Xbox, always reminding guests that you are a real gamer.

2. The Kentucky Fried Chicken Game Fridge… Console… Thing?

KFC console

This absolutely must-have piece of Gamer Merch, dubbed the “KFConsole”, has actually not been released yet. It was announced in 2020 and then kind of… faded into oblivion. However, if the KFConsole ever becomes a reality, it will be something every true gamer should absolutely own. After all, what OTHER console has ray tracing, 4k resolution AND a handy tray to keep your roast chicken warm while you’re gaming? You’re just wondering – what do you think the first “KFConsole exclusive” title will be? Here at GameLuster, we hope for an epic open-world Souls-esque adventure featuring none other than Colonel Sanders himself.

This beautiful statue from PureArts stands about three feet high and includes a hand-tailored dress, perfectly coiffed, contoured hair and two hand options – one with a cigarette and one with fully extended claws. The commanding vampire matriarch Lady Alcina Dimitrescu could add a touch of elegance to any home – not to mention easily scaring unwanted guests and sending them running for the hills. However, gamers looking to get their hands on this “Big Lady D” will have to act fast – PureArts is releasing this item as a limited edition with only 666 statues available for purchase.
