F1 22 according to GSD data reported by GamesIndustry ranked first in the Europe charts for July 2022. It was the best-selling game in Germany, Italy and France.

Xenoblade Chronicles 3 was the highest grossing new release as it debuted in seventh place. Launch sales were 27 percent higher than in 2020 Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition.

LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga came in fourth, but it was the best-selling game in the UK.

A total of 8.82 million games were sold across Europe in July, a 38 percent year-over-year decline. However, it should be noted that July 2022 comprises four weeks, while July 2021 comprises five weeks.

In July, more than 297,420 video game consoles were sold across Europe. However, it should be noted that the hardware cards exclude two major European countries – the UK and Germany. That is 48 percent less than in July last year.

Nintendo Switch was by far the best-selling console, as there are still stock shortages for the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.

For 2022 year-to-date (January to July 2022), console sales are down more than 26 percent. This is mainly due to the shortages of the PlayStation 5. Sales of Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch have increased slightly year on year.

Elden tops the Europe charts in March, Switch bestselling console and Xbox Series X|S second
