2K sets a start time for PGA Tour 2K23the upcoming entry in HB Studios’ golf simulation video game franchise.
Featuring PGA TOUR icon and top athlete Tiger Woods as the cover athlete, PGA Tour 2K23 celebrates Woods’ legacy by introducing him as both a playable in-game pro and an executive director who advises the game development team.
Woods leads a roster of over 14 male and female pros at launch (additional pros and courses will be added as free post-launch DLC and available to all players), including Justin Thomas, Lexi Thompson, Tony Finau, Lydia Ko, Collin Morikawa, Will Zalatoris, Brooke Henderson and more. Players can enter the tee box like one of the pros in Exhibition, Multiplayer and Divot Derby, or compete against them in a battle to climb the leaderboard and claim the FedExCup in the PGA TOUR MyCAREER mode. In addition to the pros, the presentation and commentary team of Rich Beem and Luke Elvy returns, with the addition of English golf professional and presenter Henni Koyack.
2K has revealed the officially licensed courses available to play in PGA Tour 2K23.
In addition to 17 courses returning from PGA Tour 2K21three new courses – the South Course of Wilmington Country Club, The Renaissance Club and St. George’s Golf and Country Club – complete a full list of 20 courses available at launch to let players swing with swag and their crews altogether out of 360 unique fairways and dance floors.
To create flawless in-game renditions of true-to-life courses, 2K and HB Studios use a combination of aerial drone footage, lidar data, high-resolution photography, and support resources provided by each course’s management to ensure ensuring each course is lifelike and features realistic buildings, signage, hazards, fairways, greens and climate. The process delivers the most authentic PGA TOUR video game experience available to date. Courses such as Riviera Country Club, home of the Genesis Open, which was recently named a senior tournament for the following season by PGA TOUR, really shine in great detail.

Additional officially licensed courses – including Pebble Beach Golf Club, Spyglass Hill and Torrey Pines North and South Courses – and new custom courses created in PGA Tour 2K23‘s Course Designer will be available post-launch and free to all players on all platforms. More details coming soon.
PGA Tour 2K23 will feature 20 licensed courses at launch. New additions include the South Course of Wilmington Country Club, The Renaissance Club, St. George’s Golf and Country Club, and more. The industry-leading Course Designer also returns, offering players the opportunity to build their dream courses and share them with a global online community.
MyPLAYER personalization returns and players can outfit their MyPLAYERS like Tiger with Nike Golf, TaylorMade and Bridgestone Golf apparel and equipment. Additional clothing options are available from licensed brands including Callaway Golf, FootJoy, Malbon Golf, Nike Golf, PUMA, Titleist, TravisMathew and more (some cosmetic items and consumables may need to be unlocked with virtual currency (earned or paid) or through gameplay ). Clubs and balls from brands such as Bridgestone Golf, Callaway Golf, COBRA, Mizuno, Odyssey Golf, Scotty Cameron, TaylorMade, Titleist and Wilson are available to equip players’ golf bags and keep them swinging. In addition to the returning analog stick swing, a three-click swing option is also available for an additional level of customization, allowing players to play the way they want.
PGA Tour 2K23 offers new casual modes to help rookies get into the game, while giving seasoned players new challenges and opportunities to work on their skills. The introduction of Topgolf offers a unique experience that mimics the popular golf entertainment phenomenon, where players can aim for targets and try to achieve the highest score. The training mode offers multiple ways to develop skills, including swing calibration, lessons, chipping, a driving range and putting green.
Online multiplayer features (cross-gen but not cross-platform) also return for PGA Tour 2K23. Online associations encourage players to team up with friends for custom tournaments and full seasons, while Clubhouse Pass will provide post-launch content and goals for players to enjoy well into the future. The game will be available in multiple editions, each with unique album covers featuring painted portraits of Tiger Woods:
PGA Tour 2K23 Standard Edition:
- Physical and digital versions for Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PS4 and PS5 consoles, including the base game;
- For PC, including the base game and the Golden Club Packageincludes a Golden Putter, Golden Driver and four unusual golf ball consumables;
- Players who pre-order a version of the Standard Edition will receive the Michael Jordan Bonus Packwhich includes playable sports icon Michael Jordan, as well as four consumable Common golf ball covers;
- Players who purchase the Standard Edition of the game for Xbox Series X|S (physical or digital version) or PS5 (digital version only) consoles, which contain multiple generations of duplicate rights, will also receive the Golden Club Package for the game on Xbox One or PS4 respectively.
PGA Tour 2K23 Deluxe Edition:
- For Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PS4 or PS5 consoles, the multi-generational base game includes dual rights, as well as the Michael Jordan Bonus Pack, Gold Club Package, and Deluxe Edition Bonus Packincludes 1300 VC (Virtual Currency), a hockey stick putter, gold baseball cap, gold glove and three rare consumable golf ball covers;

PGA Tour 2K23 Deluxe Edition and PGA Tour 2K23 Tiger Woods Edition are scheduled for worldwide release on Tuesday, October 11, 2022, followed by PGA Tour 2K23 Standard Edition on Friday, October 14, 2022.
