First introduced in 1987 and adapted to anime in 2012, JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure is best known for its charismatic heroes who drop unforgettable screams and perform over-the-top moves as they pound each other using martial arts and supernatural abilities. JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: All Star Battle R is the biggest game ever in the franchise, featuring 50 characters from each storyline. Players can experience popular battles from each story and see heroes from different universes team up for the first time, playing as Jonathan Joestar, DIO, Jotaro Kujo, Jolyne Cujoh, daughter of Jotaro and the first-ever female JoJo in the series, and many more .

JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: All Star Battle R introduces a completely revamped and improved version of the combat system first introduced in 2013, increasing the pace with hit stops, dashes, intricate new combos, and an all-new “Support Attack” tag team combat system. Game modes consist of All-Star Battle Mode, Arcade Mode, Online Mode, Versus Mode, Practice Mode, and Gallery Mode. The main mode, All-Star Battle Mode, features classic clashes between heroes from previous games alongside all-new battles, offering players over 100 different battles to experience. JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: All Star Battle R also offers a range of customizable and collectable skins, along with unique artwork that players can unlock and play in Gallery mode.
The trailer above showcases in-game systems and game modes, as well as the memorable roster of characters fans can play as at launch. The trailer is narrated by the original Japanese voice actors from the anime series for favorite characters Koichi Hirose and Rohan Kishibe. Details of upcoming updates that will bring new features and improvements to the game have also been revealed today.
Future updates for JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: All Star Battle R will include improvements based on player community feedback from the Early Access demo released in June. These include changes to the frequency and effectiveness of taunts, adjustments for auxiliary attacks, and new functionality for the practice mode.
The new trailer also highlights various character skills, such as Stands and Mounted Fighters, as well as in-game mechanics such as Assists and Stylish Guard.
This title is based on the All Star Battle battle system released in 2013. The game design of JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: All Star Battle R enhances the experience with battle tempo adjustments and the addition of hit stops and jump marks. With new audio recordings of the Part 6 anime voice actors, the full atmosphere of the animated series is realized. Fans who played the original All Star Battle as well as newcomers will enjoy the experience.
Pre-orders for the game are now open through the game’s official page. Fans can now pre-order the game for all platforms except Nintendo Switch digital. Details on pre-orders for Nintendo Switch will be announced at a later date. All pre-orders will receive a bonus Green Dolphin Street State Prison Jacket costume for Jolyne Cujoh.
