You can’t turn down a good new soul, and with the release of the new action RPG Thymesia OverBorder Studios, it looks like there’s going to be a new one coming soon to dive in. The game has changed its look, as have some genre fans and Bloodborne enthusiasts eagerly trying to keep a close eye on the game. Thankfully, the game is coming out soon and soon, ahead of its August 18 launch, we’ll be covering a few key details we want to know about the game.

INSTITUTION

The slick horror-horror scene behind Thymesias Equations and toBloodborneis became an epidemic. The game is played in the Kingdom of Hermes. It once prospered for its evolution in alchemy, but the practice fell into catastrophic chaos, resulting in a chaos collapse. The world is teeming with infernal beasts and nightmarish creatures, with disease and decay, and the few who survive have locked themselves in the realm. It’s all good Yharnam, and if it can make up for its excitement, it’ll be a solid setting to start.

MAIN ROLE

You play Mary’s Corvus, a mysterious man, his past shrouded in mystery, although he is presumably the only one who can now restore that kingdom from the state it is in. Because of the kind of game it’s trying to be, it’s clear that Thymesia’s history will rely heavily on mystery and revealing bits and pieces through lore drops. Although Corvus’ story is intertwined with this, it is unclear to what extent it is intertwined with it.

MEMORIES

Corvus past is used in Thymesia, also an interesting gameplay mechanic. His memories are shattered and scattered all over the kingdom. Of course, that means exploring environments and finding those memories becomes the key, because only then can you understand what’s happening and unlock every mystery in the story. A Legend of the Zelda: Breath of the Wild did something similar, but it’s still expected that ideas executed in Thymesia will change.

END

This means that those whose lives are often shared by two, and in fact call Bloodbornese, is such a long story that unsurprisingly, the two of us will also have multiple endings. Developer OverBorder hasn’t talked about exactly how many endings that game has, but we know which ending you get depends on several factors. In general, whether you were able to get your hands on specific items or not, and how many Corvus memories you must have found and witnessed all games over time. Hopefully there’s enough variety in the endings to make them feel meaningfully different, because that can be a little hard to balance.

BATTLE

So far this is great about the game world and story. Let’s talk about the flesh and potatoes of the experience, which, like any other soul, is the battle. While Thymesia is very heavily influenced by Bloodbornein and its tone, especially on the battlefield, it’s more often compared to other areas like Shakiro: Shadows Die Twice-in-style, at the very least. Encounters rely largely on fast and frenetic melee and ranged attacks, with a little emphasis on dodging and parrying. Essentially, he looks very fast than the typical Soulslike. If it’s really fun to play when you touch the controller, you’ll definitely hear about it, but we didn’t know that.

TEASE

In philosophy or at least in game defense it is a central mechanism. It is a very powerful empire surrounded by game. But Corvus has the perfect skills to turn their hands in his favor and use them as very literal weapons against his enemies. A man’s hand and a man’s spirit bear the same plague and man’s hand after defeating him, then use different weapons such as claws and scythes, and more. It looks like a new concept so I hope Thymesia can execute it well.

RAVEN

Another unique ability Thymesia will use in combat is to adapt to new forms. Corvus is a raven during combat and in this form he has access to a number of useful abilities such as execution, interrupting enemy attacks, throwing dagger-like feathers at enemies and more. There are some important things that haven’t been mentioned yet. If you allow the game to limit the amount of time and usage available to players, or if a game is needed for exploration and exploration, then it’s also a good idea whether or not they can use these skills. If that game has those details right away, it becomes an interesting mechanic.

ENEMIES

Enemy design and variety are crucial in any combat-oriented game, but so are Soulslikes. Boss battles are the bread and butter of this genre; as such, Thymesia seems a promising side, and a particularly favorable view is given of a boss and special enemy using diseases as weapons. Even as the game continues to evolve, more regular enemies will also offer a lot of challenge, which should therefore work well with the more fast-paced combat.

PROGRESSION AND PROGRAM PUBLIC

This is another area where Thymesia distances itself from Bloodborne. The latter was famously much more focused on building variety than previous games from FromSoftware, but the latter has a lot more flexibility. According to the developers, players can play in a variety of ways, allowing them to upgrade and modify Corvus moves and abilities in various ways, as well as use multiple plague weapons and weapons to attack. It sounds like Thymesia will offer a much more diverse level of freedom to build your character in different ways, so hopefully there will be enough depth in the progression system for you to live up to all the promises.

PC REQUIREMENTS

In a few days, Thymesia will also be available on PS5 and Xbox X/S, but many enthusiasts will expect to know that the game won’t be very demanding on their platform of choice, given the price of the view. At all reasonable prices, Thymesia needs a 13Ki5 or a GHz Ryzen 5, along with a GeForce GTX 950 or a Radeon HD 7970 and 8GB of RAM. At recommended settings, the game requires an Intel Core i7 or an AMD Ryzen 7, and a GeForce GTX 1060 or a Radeon RX 580, and 16 GB of RAM. For both settings you need a storage space of 16 GB.
