Stonesmith+ is a subscription service that teaches players to play guitar and bass through their favorite songs. The title builds on the award-winning Rocksmith method, which has helped nearly five million people learn to play the guitar.
Compatible with acoustic, electric and bass guitars, Stonesmith+ will start with thousands of songs and grow to millions more in the future, spanning genres ranging from rock, classical, indie, alternative, hip-hop, pop, metal, country, Latin, R&B and more. At launch, Rocksmith+ will have a variety of authentic arrangements that represent songs as the artists originally played them, and all songs in the library will be playable with chord progressions for players to hum and strum.
Users can take advantage of a host of new and improved practice tools, including Riff Repeater, which allows them to instantly practice specific riffs in their favorite songs; and adaptive difficulty, where: Stonesmith+ dynamically adapts to a guitarist’s skill level while playing. These tools are designed to give guitarists control over their learning path.
Rocksmith+ also works with major musical instrument partners Gibson, Epiphone, Kramer, Ibanez, Ernie Ball, Ernie Ball Music Man, Marshall, Orange, Mesa/Boogie, Roland, Boss and Electro-Harmonix.
Ubisoft has announced that Stonesmith+ will be available exclusively on PC through the Ubisoft Store on September 6, 2022.
Before returning rocksmith players, Stonesmith+ will have a loyalty offer for owners of Rocksmith 2014 and closed beta participants who have a Stonesmith+ subscription of 3 or 12 months. Those players will get bonus time in their first billing cycle – one month free for those who buy a 3 month subscription and three months free for those who buy a 12 month subscription.
Plus, if you’ve played rocksmith for or participated in the Stonesmith+ PC Closed Beta, you can unlock an exclusive loyalty offer at launch: get 1 month free if you subscribe for 3 months, or 3 months free if you subscribe for 1 year.
Ubisoft has also announced that from now until September 6, the Ubisoft Store will be holding a competition for a chance to win a signature Gibson or Epiphone guitar. To enter, learn more about the prizes, and read the full rules, visit here.
Stonesmith+ is the only subscription service to provide interactive music education using official song masters and powerful real-time feedback. In addition, users get access to free online videos to learn about proper technique, music theory, equipment, instrument care and more.
Users can play an acoustic guitar or an electric instrument and amp using the Rocksmith+ Connect mobile app, which offers phone-as-mic technology. By pairing their mobile device with their PC or console, the built-in microphone can follow their guitar, allowing them to play without the need for additional equipment. Rocksmith+ is also compatible with consoles that use the Rocksmith Real Tone Cable. For PC users, Rocksmith+ is compatible with using the Real Tone Cable or existing guitar interfaces on electric and acoustic-electric instruments.
