On the hunt for the elusive console? Here you can buy it today

Since its launch in 2020, the PlayStation 5 has been ridiculously hard to get your hands on. Supply chain problems due to the coronavirus pandemic have nearly brought production of Sony’s latest games console to a standstill.
Fortunately, the stock situation has improved a lot in recent months, with PS5 bundles readily available in at least one store since the end of April, with Game and the BT Shop, plus several independent retailers such as The Game Collection and Scan leading the charge.
This avalanche of console additions continued into July, and we expect it to continue to be widely stocked through August and September. But while restocks are more common, buying a console on its own is still a challenge, with retailers preferring to restock bundles over the standalone console – those sell out in the blink of an eye. We only started seeing digital console bundles in stores last month, but even those have since dried up.

BT customers have exclusive access to these PS5 bundles
As has been the case for a few months now, BT is helping its existing customers buy PS5 consoles. Those customers will receive an access code that will allow them to purchase PS5 consoles exclusively through the online BT Shop.
Not only can the console be bought on its own, but BT’s bundle prices start at just £409.99 for the PS5 digital edition with a download code for Horizon Forbidden West. BT says it has more than 50 of these bundles in stock and standard delivery takes between one and three days. Express, next day delivery is available at an additional cost.
BT Shop also has the PS5 digital edition with a second Dualsense controller (and no games) for £419.97, and three PS5 disc edition bundles priced from £508.98 to £549.97. The latter includes a second controller and Horizon Forbidden West.

Currys now has nine PS5 bundles ready to buy
Currys may have more PS5 stock than anyone else right now, with nine different bundles up for grabs today. Unfortunately, the console is not only available for purchase and there are no digital editions available, but there seems to be plenty of stock anyway.
The cheapest Currys PS5 bundle costs £679 and includes the console with a second Dualsense controller, a Steelseries gaming headset, Horizon Forbidden West and Lego Star Wars. For €20 more, Lego Star Wars is exchanged for Gran Turismo 7and there’s another identical bundle, also for £699, but with the second Dualsense controller in black instead of white.
For £729 Currys has the same bundle but with Lego Star Wars thrown back (that makes three games and two controllers).

There is currently only one PS5 bundle available from Scan
Computer and electronics retailer Scan currently only has one PS5 bundle available, and it’s a pretty expensive one. That said, it comes with 1TB of extra storage and a Sabrent heatsink designed to keep your PS5 cool while gaming. The bundle also includes a disc edition console, a second Dualsense controller and Horizon Forbidden West. It costs £739.99 and is available for next day delivery.

These PS5 bundles are available today from Game
Game is one of several retailers with PS5 stock available to order online right now. However, as with everyone at the moment, buying the console on its own is pretty tricky, and the cheaper digital edition PS5 is something or a rarity among retailers.
Anyway, Games has six PS5 bundles to buy today. The cheapest costs £584.97 and includes the Disc Edition console, plus Horizon Forbidden Westa second Dualsense controller and a ‘Player 1’ t-shirt.
Game also has a bundle with the console, game and extra controller, plus Gran Turismo 7. This is a price of €649.96.

Sega Genesis Mini 2 Pre-Orders Open in the US
If you’re in the United States, the Sega genesis mini 2 is now available for pre-order on Amazon.
There’s currently no news on whether the retro console will go on sale in Europe, but since these units are imported directly from Japan, we’ll have to wait and see if they’ll be available for wider release in the near future. It currently costs $108.07 (£88.52).

‘Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2’ best pre-order deals

Buy Backbone One – Playstation Edition
Last week, the peripheral manufacturer Backbone announced an officially licensed Playstation product, the Backbone One – PlayStation Edition and it’s on sale now.
