New State Mobile has been out for a little less than a year, but in that short time it has captured the attention of millions of players around the world. New State, a hardened battle royale with PUBG heritage, focuses entirely on firearms shooting rather than secondary mechanics like battling wild monsters to gain experience in Final Fantasy VII: The First Soldier, or building mechanics like in Fortnite.
This creates a Battle Royale with very little dawdling all over the map, as you face multiple enemy players in a row with little downtime in between. As with any other Battle Royale, you want to take first place. The prestige, the glory and, well, achieving Bronze placements through the ranking system is always a great first goal to have.
This guide covers tips, tricks, and tactics that will help you earn that prized first place out of 100 players trophy.
Parachuting
New State Mobile, like most Battle Royales, will parachute you into a huge large-scale map. If you see a structure or vehicle in the distance, you can run towards each as long as you are not hindered by enemy players or the approaching storm that narrows the playing field.
If you’re playing solo, there’s no ideal location you want to drop for your first runs. Get a feel for the game and try to move to a different location each playthrough.
The parachute itself is finicky and vulnerable to screen taps or rotations. If you get to your destination too fast, you could end up in a place much further away from buildings or locations to grab starting weapons or equipment.

You want the parachute to land safely without too many interruptions. Landing slowly is always better than changing course at the last minute, which could put you in a difficult situation.
Map Awareness
Compared to other battle royale games, New State offers little time to look for better gear or other weapons before moving away from the approaching storm.
You’ll find yourself winding up in the storm more often than comparable Battle Royales, and taking damage over time if you spend too long looking for gear or even shooting enemy players.

You need to constantly check your map and make sure you are outside the storm behind you. The storm’s countdowns are short, with most taking less than two minutes to occupy the area on the map. It’s much better to keep moving. If you kill enemies, go to them and get their equipment, but you won’t have time to search buildings during the match after the storm has engulfed the first area on the map.
red zone
You want to forgo and always get around the red circular area on your map. This whole area will have constant explosions and the game will warn you about the Red Zone during the match.

Constant blasts from explosions litter every red zone and can take players out of the game completely. Outside of the storm zone, the Red Zone is the other place to avoid. Sometimes even the area you are in can become a red zone; so you will have to figure out the fastest way to get to safety. Your other option, if you get stuck in the Red Zone, is to keep moving to avoid damage. Just because you decide to drive a vehicle and leave the Red Zone doesn’t mean you’ll be protected. The explosions can still kill you badly in a vehicle.
Indicators
If you’re having trouble distinguishing enemy players in addition to the environment, don’t worry. When enemies in your area start firing, indicators will appear on your screen from where these shots were fired.
These gunfire indicators make it easy to turn and fire back at the enemy. Just because you were caught off guard doesn’t mean you’ll lose the fight. One of the great aspects of New State Mobile is that you still have a good chance of winning the one-on-one battles even if you were the one who took the first damage.
Reach in with your weapon, try not to hesitate and take out the enemy that started shooting at you.

Loot and Equipment
Every time you kill an enemy you want to walk up and loot their corpse. Grab painkillers, energy drinks, helmets, vests, backpacks and more. When you tap on the loot, the game automatically grabs everything you can hold and, most importantly, it automatically deciphers the best options.
For example, if you have a level one backpack, it will automatically loot and equip a higher level backpack. The same goes for the different types of vests and helmets. The game will always determine the best equipment quality and equip it for you. All you have to do is approach your fallen enemy’s loot.
However, you’ll need to tap loot specifically for weapon upgrades such as scopes, handles, and sights.

weapons
Ideally, you want all of your three weapon slots to be equipped with a pistol. The various weapons are categorized as “single” or “automobile”. Single-shot weapons are mainly for shotguns, and more long-range weapons such as snipers are intended to take out enemies at a distance or with improved accuracy. Auto weapons are mainly submachine guns that can mow down an enemy in a hurry. The last weapon lock is a gun, which is a last resort.
Instead of reloading your weapon with one loadout in combat, it’s better to switch to one of your weapons that doesn’t require reloading. Reloading weapons can take a few seconds, but in New State, that’s enough time to lose the match. Cycle through fully loaded weapons in combat and only reload when you are safely behind cover.
Finding handles or telescopes to equip can improve your submachine guns to increase their lethality.

take a sip
Energy drinks, painkillers and syringes raise your yellow bar. This allows your character to have improved health regeneration and run faster. Always use consumables after each encounter with an enemy so that you are in top shape for your next battle.
This also allows you to get out of the storm or Red Zones more efficiently.
If your character moves too fast, it will cancel the entire consumable; and you do not receive any of the benefits it grants.
Other tips
To prevent your thumbs and hands from getting tired in these matches that sometimes last up to 30 minutes, you can simply slide the movement cursor up to make your character walk automatically. The use of painkillers, bandages, energy drinks and other consumables will still work even if you are in this autorun state. No need to stop or slow down to heal yourself, just swipe the motion cursor and use the item you need.

Grenades can be used as a scare tactic on the enemy. Use poison grenades to flush other players in tight spaces such as inside buildings. Poison is also great at reducing the enemy’s health.

You can buy scout drones with currency that can be found all over the map, but this can be difficult for some players to use during their first few runs of the game. It’s helpful to keep in mind that if you have the money, you can order different supplies in an area of your choice. Make sure it arrives in time before the storm or the Red Zone decimate the area.

Hopefully these beginner tips have helped you on your New State Mobile runs, and get you to the elusive first place all players crave in this recently released battle royale.
