The Grand Theft Auto series is packed with fun and immersive missions that allow the player to fulfill his wildest fantasies as a criminal. Missions have gone through a series of changes since the franchise’s inception, but the formula for what made them so much fun remains at the heart of them all.
Although every mission in Grand Theft Auto follows a similar structure, some are more experimental than others and often fail in their attempt to entertain. Most of these missions are not attractive because of their designs and buildings, but some have become much more notorious than others.
8 The Pacific Standard Job – Grand Theft Auto Online
The raid on the “Pacific Standard Job” in Grand Theft Auto Online is one of the hardest heists in the game. With the help of Lester Crest and three other party members, the player gains the means to clear the vault in the basement of the Pacific Standard bank, but escaping the crime scene poses the greatest threat.
The player must escape through the front door of the bank and navigate through some nearby alleys while dodging the police. Once they reach their escape engines, they must travel to the top of the map and skydive on a surprisingly stable boat to make the rest of their escape. The party may kill two in the escape, but more will make the mission fail.
7 The Blizzard – Grand Theft Auto 4
To complete the mission “The Snow Storm” in Grand Theft Auto 4Niko Bellic must locate and infiltrate an abandoned hospital on Colony Island. The hospital is swarming with heavily armed guards who must shoot Niko, but the most challenging part of the mission comes after finding Elizabeta’s stolen cocaine.
NOOSE raids the hospital while Niko is inside, forcing him to fight his way out. Once he finds a getaway vehicle, he can get out of the hospital, but it will be a huge challenge to outsmart the police in his path. The mission ends once he reaches Little Jacob, but it will likely take several tries before this success is achieved.
6 Did someone say yoga? – Grand Theft Auto 5
“Did someone say yoga?” is one of Michael De Santa’s more unique missions. Amanda, his wife, returns home to see him drinking and smoking. She is disgusted by his questionable habits and insists that he join her for a yoga session with her instructor.
Michael reluctantly agrees, but yoga’s promise of relaxation is absent from his next experience. To complete the mission, the player has to press the appropriate buttons and adjust the analogs accordingly. Failure to do so three times will end the mission, forcing them to retry the heavy activity until it is successfully completed.
5 Supply Lines – Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas
The “Supply Lines” mission is arguably the most tedious mission out there in the Grand Theft Auto series, but luckily it is not necessary to complete the main story. Zero gives CJ this mission during his time in San Fierro; while the premise sounds simple, the process is far from simple.
To complete the mission, the player must pilot a heavily armed toy plane to kill five couriers working for Berkley, Zero’s nemesis. After all of Berkley’s men are removed, the plane must be flown back to Zero’s RC store under strict time restrictions.
4 Friends Reunited – Grand Theft Auto 5
The Grand Theft Auto series has made a habit of including a lot of travel in its missions, with “Friends Reunited” being one of the most monotonous. After getting wind of Michael’s survival, Trevor packs up and heads for Los Santos, but the journey is exhausting.
Trevor drives a Canis Bodhi. It is a wonderful vehicle for off-road driving, but has a serious lack of speed. The slow pace of the journey makes for some hilarious back and forth between Trevor and Ron, but their conversation quickly becomes stale due to the grueling nature of the adventure.
3 Contra Bans: Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories
The “Contra-Banned” mission tasks Toni Cipriani with monitoring the arrival of a drug shipment. Not wanting to risk having his property seized, Salvatore Leone insists that Toni and a group of his men oversee the shipment.
They meet several members of the Colombian cartel and begin negotiations, but the police arrive and surround the two groups. After the cutscene plays, Toni is placed in the center of the firing range and must act quickly to survive. He jumps into the Patriot housing the drugs and leaves. It’s a wildly slow car that struggles to outrun the numerous spike strips lined up in front of it. The cars inside Liberty City Stories can handle so little damage, making the journey to the Pay ‘n’ Spray deceptively difficult.
2 Heist Prep: Deluxos – Grand Theft Auto Online
In order to access “The Doomsday Heist”, certain preparations must be made. Four Deluxos must be obtained to make sure everything runs smoothly, but getting them can get tricky depending on how many people are helping.
Not everyone will have people to assist in acquiring these vehicles, which makes acquiring them quite tiring. The player will have to go to Los Santos from his facilities to find the vehicles they need, but not every quest token leads to the car they are looking for. Once one is obtained, it must be driven back to a base as soon as possible. The length of the first trip is forgivable, but doing it three more times makes the whole mission feel like a chore.
1 Wrong Side of the Tracks – Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas
The “Wrong Side of the Tracks” mission has become infamous since its debut in San Andreas. The premise sees Big Smoke asking CJ to help him raid the Vagos and the San Fierro Rifa at a nearby train station, only for the pair to be ambushed themselves.
The Vagos try to escape CJ on the roof of a train, so Big Smoke orders CJ to chase them down and stop them. The objective of the mission seems simple at first, but the player will have to rely on Smoke to take out the Vagos. His shooting abilities are far from impressive, but if he fails to get rid of these enemies, he’ll blame CJ and say, “All you had to do was follow that damn train,” which makes CJ’s injury even worse. makes.
