Attention PlayStation players! Join Task Force 141 up to seven days before the official launch of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II via a digital pre-order of the game on PlayStation.
Players who pre-order a digital edition of Modern Warfare II will gain early access to the game’s campaign mode*, along with other rewards. Enjoy a full week starting October 20 to focus on the single player, globetrotting operation before the full game launches on October 28.

With enhanced graphics built via photogrammetry technology, the Modern Warfare II campaign offers impressive visual fidelity and will cover some of the finest details, such as the physics and graphics of the water, to create the most immersive experience yet.
In addition, thanks to the improved shadow systems, the campaign will feature enhanced lighting to create an even more realistic environment that will help players fully immerse themselves in the single player mode coming to Modern Warfare II.
In addition to improvements you can see, Infinity Ward has moved on in upgrades you can hear. Thanks to new engine improvements, this opened up new possibilities for better sound recording and new features including real-time mixing and natural limits to help players focus on the task at hand, dive into the story, and pull players through the missions.
With early access to the campaign, you’ll be fully prepared to use the game’s multiplayer options when they open up at game launch.

Your pre-order gives you early access to the future of Call of Duty Multiplayer battles. The Modern Warfare II Open Beta is free on PlayStation and split into two playable weekends. Early beta access is granted to those with a digital or retail pre-order.
Beta Weekend One: First on PlayStation
The first beta weekend will be available on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 and will run from Friday, September 16 at 10 a.m. PT to Tuesday, September 20 at 10 a.m. PT. This weekend is only for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 players. You can access the beta without needing the PlayStation Plus subscription service.
PlayStation Open Beta: The rest of the weekend, from Sunday, September 18 at 10 a.m. PT to Tuesday, September 20 at 10 a.m. PT, is open to all PlayStation players regardless of pre-order status. PlayStation players can now experience the impressive amount of beta content available in Modern Warfare II and can unlock rewards available in-game at launch.
Beta Weekend Two (Crossplay)
The second beta weekend is scheduled to run from Thursday, September 22 at 10 a.m. PT to Monday, September 26 at 10 a.m. PT. Weekend 2 is a free open beta for all PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 players, regardless of whether you pre-ordered the game or not. Crossplay will be active, so you can play with the larger community no matter what hardware they play on.
