UNIVERSITY PARK, Pennsylvania — Penn State has announced sales dates for one game for men’s hockey tickets, as well as information about student ticket sales and game promotions for 2022-23.
SINGLE GAME TICKET SALE
A limited number of single game tickets will go on sale during the exclusive presale of the Nittany Lion Club and Men’s Hockey Season Ticket Holders on Wednesday, September 7 from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. If there are any tickets left, they will go on sale to the public at 3pm. All sales take place on ticketmaster.com.
As was the case last season, during the 2022-2023 season, mobile ticketing will be the primary means of ticket delivery for all tickets for a single match. In an effort to increase the security of the ticket purchase and event entry process, PDF tickets that can be printed at home will no longer be accepted for entry to Pegula Ice Arena. STUDENT TICKETS SALE
Penn State’s student subscription sales will take place on Tuesday, September 20 at 7:00 AM. The student subscription package again costs $165 and includes every home game excluding the Michigan State and Alaska series on Thanksgiving Break and the game against RIT on New Year’s Eve, for a total of 15 games. Student tickets are sold exclusively through ticketmaster.com. More details on student subscription sales are now available at www.GoPSUsports.com/studentcentral.
Students who wish to purchase tickets to the Michigan State and Alaska games on Nov. 18-19 and Nov. 22-23, respectively, as well as the single game against RIT on Dec. 31, can do so on Sept. 7 when tickets go on sale. for the public, subject to availability. Tickets are assigned physical seat locations among other public purchasers.
2022-23 PROMOTION SCHEDULE
The annual Teddy Bear Toss game for men’s hockey teams, presented by the Penn State Bookstore, takes place on Saturday, December 3 against the state of Ohio. Hundreds of new or gently used soft toys are thrown onto the ice during a break each year to donate to THON and other local children’s charities.
The annual Wear White match is on Saturday, January 21 against conference foe Notre Dame. Last season, the Fighting Irish took 11 of a possible 12 Big Ten points with three regulation wins and one overtime win in their four matchups.
Presented by the Penn State Alumni Association, Senior Day will be the final home game of the regular season when the Nittany Lions host the Wisconsin Badgers on Saturday, February 25.
PREMIUM PARKING
Premium parking will be available on a seasonal basis for club, lodge, and glass card holders. Premium parking spaces are located in the Shields and Wagner parking lots closest to Pegula Ice Arena. Premium parking will also go on sale on Wednesday, September 7 at 10:00 AM through Account Manager for $400 ($20/game).
Season ticket holders with 1-4 tickets can purchase one premium parking ticket. Season ticket holders with 5-8 tickets can buy two premium parking tickets, just like in previous years.
Premium parking is paper passes sent before the 2022-23 season.
GENERAL PARKING
General parking is available on a seasonal basis via the Park Mobile app for all season ticket holders. General parking is located in the Stadium West and Jordan East parking lots opposite University Drive from Pegula Ice Arena. Seasonal parking is available now through Park Mobile, at the bottom of the page, for $100 ($5/game).
CLUB BUFFET
The Club Buffet passes for all seasons and half seasons will also go on sale on Wednesday 7 September at 10 a.m. via Account Manager for club and lodge card holders. All season passes are $400 ($20/game) and half season passes are $200 ($20/game).
Redemption of Club Buffet will be through paper vouchers sent before the 2022-23 season. Vouchers are good for any game in the 2022-23 season.
WITHIN THE NUMBERS
With fans back in the building last season, Penn State once again played in front of the largest crowd in the country at 103.4 percent capacity. Pegula Ice Arena sold out for 14 of the 18 regular season home games last year and is filled for 140 of the 153 games ever hosted, excluding the 2020-21 season, when fans were banned from attending games due to the COVID-19 pandemic. 19 pandemic.
The Nittany Lions played to an average of 5,976 fans per night in 2021-2022, the fourth highest average attendance in the nation.
The Nittany Lions have high hopes for the 2022-2023 season as they return their top-12 top scorers from last season, along with 93 percent of goals scored and 94 percent of the total score from a season ago.
