Although it can be fun to play in other positions Madden NFL 23It’s hard to argue that a great quarterback doesn’t directly contribute to wins. When building a team, it’s probably a mistake to start with anything other than an elite quarterback.

Of course, if the goal is fun, go ahead and pick a favorite team or position. No real gamer can claim that games are a good time. But when much is at stake and pride is at stake, Madden NFL 23 strongly encourages the use of any of these players. They can cover user errors and team errors.

GAMERANT VIDEO OF THE DAY

Matthew Stafford – 85 ALGO

Shockingly, a quarterback to the Super Bowl champion in Matthew Stafford barely managed to be named in a top ten list. But understandably, the Rams had a complete team and Cooper Kupp became a superstar target.

Still, Stafford’s achievements should not be downplayed. He had to do more than play it safe. Stafford’s 41 touchdowns were the second most in the league and he had the third most passing yards. That has to count for something.

Russell Wilson – 87 ALGO

When the Denver Broncos grabbed Russell Wilson, they grabbed a top ten quarterback with a lot of gas in the tank. That’s a huge rarity when it comes to NFL history, but the off-season was full of surprises. Time will tell if the Seahawks cut ties too early or if the Broncos spent too much draft capital.

Without injuries, Wilson would have been a candidate for the MVP award, scoring more than four times as many touchdowns (25) than interceptions. Even if he’s only average, the Broncos fanbase deserves some decent quarterback play. They have nothing to cheer about since Manning retired.

Lamar Jackson – 87 ALGO

If there were no injuries, there’s a case that the Baltimore Ravens would now be in the midst of a dynasty. Unfortunately, this team has had to deal with brutal injuries to key players, usually before the regular season even starts.

Lamar Jackson is no exception, having missed much of last season with an injury. As the biggest running-passing threat in the league, the Ravens now have to worry about his contract in addition to his health. Let’s hope the dispute is resolved soon.

Justin Herbert – 88 ALGO

The LA Chargers defense is as flashy as the game’s album cover. Obviously someone in senior management believes that improving defense is all the Chargers need to do to make the playoffs. They probably think so because Justin Herbert is their quarterback.

Herbert does have a few weapons to work with, but most of the players on this list have a stronger supporting cast around them. Still, Herbert cracked 5,000 passing yards and was third in passing touchdowns.

Roof Prescott – 89 ALG

Without Aaron Rodgers (who is mentioned later in this list), pundits would be nonstop raving about how smart Dak Prescott is with the ball. For the number of touchdowns he throws, his interceptions are so low.

Lately, the Cowboys have been a team with tons of talent that isn’t living up to their potential. That’s hardly Prescott’s fault, who seems to thrive regardless of the varying cast around him. With a little consistency and a quiet season from the usually lively rumor mill this year, Prescott and the Cowboys were able to take an impressive step forward.

Joe Burrow – 90 ALGA

As Madden NFL 23 looks for ways to improve its franchise mode, they will go on a similar journey to the Cincinnati Bengals. Despite making it to the Super Bowl last year and leading much of the game, it was clear that changes were needed for the Bengals to compete again.

Burrow was beaten, beaten, fired and rushed a record number of times last season. Cincinnati spent a lot of money on the offensive line to protect their most valuable player. Joe Burrow is one of the best with a bad offensive line, it’s scary to think what he will do with a good one.

Josh Allen – 92 ALGO

The Buffalo Bills have been a trendy choice to win the Super Bowl for the upcoming season. Between bad luck and bad luck, this team was deprived of reaching greater heights. The fanbase can rave that they’ve beefed up the defense and can now rely on Josh Allen to keep them competitive.

That’s a great prospect considering Josh Allen is one of the best quarterbacks and capable of hitting targets from near or far. If he stays healthy, the Bills could win the Super Bowl. If he steps up his game even a little, they will be a lock.

Patrick Mahomes – 95 ALGO

If you’re trying to predict how players will be rated, it’s hard to say where Patrick Mahomes would land. Although his Chiefs ended up missing the Super Bowl, Mahomes has proven that he is one of the most talented guys with the ball in his hands.

The rating pundits got it right by ranking him as one of the best quarterbacks in the league. Mahomes is clearly gifted, grabbing and setting fire to opponents with his legs next to his cannon of one arm. In the loaded AFC West, he is considered the best.

Aaron Rodgers – 96 ALGO

When comparing Madden NFL 22 until Madden NFL 23, it should be pretty obvious that Aaron Rodgers is at the top of his game. He has won the last two MVP awards and looks set to get even better, despite playing at a time when his career was about to end.

The value of Rodgers is not necessarily in the raw stats. His stats are great, but it’s his 4 interceptions throughout last year’s season that impressed the analysts. That kind of care and precision with the ball is on a whole other level.

Tom Brady – 97 ALGO

Although Aaron Rodgers got 39 MVP votes against Tom Brady’s 10, the rating pundits aren’t convinced Brady wasn’t the better quarterback in the 2021-2022 season. And they want to prove them right by confirming him in first place before this 2022-2023 season kicks off.

Brady exists on more than just his GOAT reputation. He led the league in touchdowns (43) and passing yards (5316). These things usually happen when they also lead the league on passing attempts, but Brady made the most of these attempts despite the offense being one-dimensional.

Madden NFL 23 will be released on August 15, 2022 for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S.
