Hyakkaou Academy is home to one of the most overwhelmed student councils of all time, as the president of this prestigious group essentially rules the entire nation. Many influential figureheads have gullible children just ripe for the picking, most of whom are inevitably indebted to the Council for life.

The following characters are judged by their respective positions in the Student Council in:Kakegurui – Compulsive Gamblerand Kakegurui Twinbefore Yumeko Jabami beats certain candidates from the major leagues. Each character is ranked according to their gambling skills as opposed to their status within the Council; this is a gambling anime after all. Additionally, some fans may find the beautification committee more important than the treasurer or the traditional culture club, which in turn opens a can of worms completely.

Details discussed in this article are from events in Kakegurui Twinstreaming now Netflix.

GAMERANT VIDEO OF THE DAY

12 The Analytical Mind

Sayaka Igarashi may be Kirari’s right-hand man (well, after Ririka, of course), but she shows little interest in participating in the addictive pastime that captivates Hyakkaou Academy students, and will take politics over poker every day.

Sayaka is a power-hungry perfectionist who seeks nothing but Kirari’s approval, and her sharp intellect is fully displayed during The Tower of Doors. Unfortunately, her greatest asset turns into a weakness when Sayuka shows her inability to color outside the lines and eventually loses to Yumeko.

11 the pop star

This highly celebrated performer could be a major contender for the presidential position in kakegurui XXbut some viewers claim they haven’t seen her yet actually gamble. When Yumemi Yumemite takes on Yumeko (and later Sumika Warakubami), the only thing that arguably classifies these events as gamble is the fact that money or votes are at stake. Otherwise they are just glorified talent shows.

Yumemi clearly has a way of manipulating people, which is a valuable trait in the gambling world. But in the end, her participation in anything at Hyakkaou Academy is just an attempt to boost her entertainer career in hopes of winning an Academy Award one day.

10 the troublemaker

Not all fans share Kirari’s admiration for the deranged Midari Ikishima, whose favorite pastime seems to be Russian roulette. Like Yumeko, Midiri’s deepest desires are awakened by taking risks, but she seems to invest more in ending her life than in improving her finances through gambling.

Midari’s desperation for pain stems from her experience with the sadistic Kirari, who doesn’t mention so casually that she’d just like to see the back of an eyeball. Intrigued by the idea, Midari carves her own eye on the spot (without anesthesia) and is immediately bitten by the sadomasochistic bug.

9 the younger one

Itsuki Sumeragi, the only freshman to be a member of the Student Council, carries a considerable weight on her shoulders, and is weighed down by the high expectations of her successful father. Aiming for the top is the only thing that keeps Itsuki from being ostracized, and the stress of it all is probably causing her to break loose.

When viewers first meet the antagonistic Itsuki, she has a masochistic fetish for collecting people’s nails ripped right out of their fingers. Yumeko quickly puts the young girl in her place and Itsuki’s virtues finally get a chance to shine. Itsuki puts everything on the line for Yumeko and risks it all again for Kaede’s sake, proving she’s an extraordinarily loyal ally.

8 Pride and Prejudice

While he may have taken his loss to Yumeko pretty hard, his encounter with the dark-haired temptress seems to be the only time Kaede Manyuda has let his emotions take over, inspiring the irrational decisions that led to his downfall. In the end, Kaede manages to dust off his bruised ego and confirms his gambling skills during the Greater Good Game.

Okay, so he may not have won the Greater Good Game in the end, but that doesn’t make Kaede unworthy of his newfound confidence. Without exchanging a word, Kaede quickly understands Yumeko’s plan to expose the traitor, bringing his impeccable ability to read to people in full view.

7 The Yin and Yang

Yuriko Nishinodouin is actually quite a complex character who doesn’t get much credit after being antagonized right away. Poor Mary is the first victim fans see destroyed by this conspiracy third year, but Yuriko is immediately exposed by Yumeko as a con man. Though all evidence of her deception is conveniently lacking, Yuriko’s reputation takes a nosedive, and all her beliefs along with it.

What makes Yuriko virtuous is that while she may have something to gain from her seat on the Student Council, she uses her status to protect every member of the Traditional Culture Club from falling prey to the pet system. Yuriko also seems more distraught at her wards’ potential lack of security than her own losses after her title is revoked.

6 The over-thinker

Sakura Miharutaki has earned the important status of Beatification Committee leader and is essentially responsible for law enforcement at Hyakkaou Academy in Kakegurui Twin. She appears to have a particularly analytical mind with the ability to process information at the speed of light, which often gives her the upper hand in most gambling situations.

Sakura’s biggest drawback, however, is her habit of over-analyzing everything and then making too much of it.”what ifscenarios to accurately assess the bigger picture. Unfortunately, her emotions take over as Mary begins snooping around her property, and Sakura learns the hard way that intellect is just one piece of the guessing puzzle.

5 the instigator

While it may appear that Runa Yomozuki is not officially allowed to participate in gambling, she does know how to play with people and is a major influence behind the scenes at Hyakkaou Academy. As the leader of the Election Commission, Runa usually fills the role of dealer or umpire and prides herself on being (wrongly) impartial.

Despite her youthful appearance, Runa seems to understand how things work at Hyakkaou Academy better than Sayaka, and has a particularly close bond with the Momobami Twins. Runa is an invisible adversary and manipulative puppeteer and should not be underestimated.

4 the tyrant

While fans don’t (yet) get the chance to see Sachiko Juraku physically gamble, they’ve witnessed the full force of her mindfulness combined with a cutting edge intellect that exceeds the norm. Sachiko builds one of the most comprehensive games with her Treasure Hunt, arguably surpassed only by the complexity of Kirari’s Tower of Doors.

Manipulative acumen can only get one so far, but it seems that Sachiko is quite fortunate in her role as the leader of the Public Morals Committee, the perfect playground for such a sadistic bully. With the students as her pawns, Sachiko satisfies her twisted desires at their expense, making a decent profit.

3 the lawyer

Fans haven’t had much of an opportunity to see Ririka Momobami in action either, but it’s unlikely she would have been elevated to the vice president position due to favoritism. Kirari’s twin brother gives the distinct impression of being her subordinate; completely submissive with no initiative of her own, emphasized by her need to always hide behind a mask.

Ririka intrigues viewers when she suddenly becomes Mary Saotome’s biggest fan and starts following her instead of the president. What makes this more suspicious is that Ririka has only shown the utmost loyalty to Kirari, so why the sudden change of heart?

2 the dishonest

Rumor has it that Aoi Mibuomi was being groomed to become the next student council president, that is, before Kirari intervened to ruin their plans. It’s hard to adequately assess Aoi’s gambling abilities after only seeing one short game, but watching him work behind the scenes is a testament to his strengths.

Aoi is undeniably ruthless, but if first impressions are to be believed, he is a lawyer with a heart of gold. The more viewers (and Mary) get to know Aoi, the less authentic he becomes until it all eventually unravels to show just how condescending he really is. If Aoi’s mind game talents are even half as good as his gambling skills, most wouldn’t want to bet against him.

1 The president

Kirari Momobami has been gambling since a very young age, often challenging (and winning, of course) other members of the Momobami clan, essentially earning her status as leader of the pack since childhood. One might assume that overconfidence would eventually get the better of Kirari, but so far her skills and intellect are enough to bolster her inflated ego.

While Kirari has a strong sadistic side, she seems to be driven more by a perverted curiosity to see how far she can push people before they break (so not as sadomasochistic as the rest.) But as they say, “curiosity killed the cat.” ‘, and Kirari’s desire to see how Hyakkaou Academy will be fair in the election could lead to this righteous dictator being dethroned.
