Gotham Knights gives players access to different play styles through the four members of the Bat Family, Robin, Batgirl, Nightwing and Red Hood. Because each knight gives players a unique gameplay, fans should carefully select the knight based on how they want to play the game. From stealth strikers to heavy-handed tanks, Gotham Knights gives fans the opportunity to experience battles in four different ways, enhancing gameplay variety and even encouraging players to team up with others to see how different knights fight.

GAMERANT VIDEO OF THE DAY

Each of the knights has their own specialty in combat that players can experience, and the type of missions they perform will determine which knight is the best. Robin focuses on stealth gameplay thanks to his numerous gadgets that can distract or confuse enemies. Red Hood relies more on his physical prowess and strength to take out enemies and his weapons can be used for crowd control. Nightwing bounces across the battlefield, quickly dealing damage to multiple enemies, making him a harder target. Finally, Batgirl’s balanced playstyle allows her to excel in both melee and stealth combat, and her fast attack speed makes her perfect for newcomers to this game style.

Robin

Robin’s gameplay has shown that his character will rely more on stealth and distraction than the others with most of his gadgets allowing him to stun or confuse his enemies long enough for the player to enter stealth gameplay. From his invisibility suit that allows him to walk past enemies to the stun shot from his slingshot that temporarily blinds the enemies, Robin is the perfect character for any player looking to experience a stealth playthrough in Gotham Knights. Outside of stealth, however, Robin has his trusty staff that he can use to quickly take out enemies if spotted.

At the heart of Robin’s battles are his numerous gadgets, and since he is a genius hacker, his variety of gadgets will probably be the most in play. Robin can use his staff to block incoming bullets as he attacks the enemy to reduce the distance to the biggest threats first, which could mean that Robin players will focus on individual enemies instead of bouncing around a group. This makes it easy for Robin to get overwhelmed by larger groups or groups with stronger enemies, which is probably why Gotham Knights will classify him as a stealth attacker.

batgirl

Of all the knights, Batgirl seems to be the one whose gameplay is most similar to that of Batman from the Arkham spell. She also seems to be the most balanced knight in combat thanks to the mix of stealth and melee attacks, again similar to Batman. With her tonfa, she can quickly deal a lot of damage to a single enemy before pushing away and focusing on another, which could make her perfect for players who enjoyed the Arkham style of fighting.

Her main gadget summons a swarm of bats that will surround her during combat, allowing her to either return to stealth or keep enemies at bay while taking them out. She also seems to have the fastest attacks, giving her the best DPS than the other characters, and her movement skills allow her to sustain an attack on a single enemy even when pushed back. Whether they are a fan of the Arkham games or just a newcomer to this style of gameplay, fans are sure to have a blast patrolling the streets with Batgirl in Gotham Knights.

night wing

Nightwing’s entire origins seem to be perfectly captured in his fighting style, allowing him to use his acrobatic skills acquired as a member of the Flying Graysons to bounce across the battlefield and launch attacks on multiple enemies. This makes Nightwing the perfect knight to take on larger groups of enemies, as he can quickly drain the health of multiple enemies. Along with his two escrima sticks, he can also deal shock damage that can stun certain enemies or stun multiple enemies, making it easier for players to deal with the larger groups.

While no actual stealth gameplay has been revealed for Nightwing, he likely has basic stealth abilities as Batman in the Arkham games, allowing him to take out enemies by sneaking up on them. However, unlike Robin and Batgirl, he probably won’t have many gadgets that allow him to fall back into stealth. This means that players who choose to play as Nightwing will likely focus on his acrobatic combat rather than stealth.

red hood

Red Hood is one of the most versatile knights thanks to his mix of long-range and melee combat that allows him to excel against the bigger foes. Furthermore, his abilities, such as the barrage, will allow him to remove the armor from the larger enemies, making them easier targets. In addition, after his resurrection from the Lazarus Pit, he has been given spiritual powers, including a kind of spirit shot that allows him to take out multiple enemies at once.

Red Hood will most likely be the heaviest batter of the four knights, and due to his large build, he won’t be able to move quickly across the battlefield like the others. However, thanks to his two weapons, he can still damage multiple enemies while keeping a safe distance from larger enemies. It’s more than likely that Red Hood won’t have much stealth gameplay, and so any player who chooses Red Hood should be prepared to immediately go into battle rather than take out enemies from the shadows.

With all options available to players in Gotham Knightsfiguring out which knight best suits their playing style can turn out to be instrumental at first. However, each of the knights seems to offer a fun way to take out enemies and explore Gotham City, and the ability to freely switch to another knight makes the choice less damaging if fans think they’ve picked the wrong character. While players may not have the freedom to turn Robin a tank or Red Hood into a fast-hitting DPS character, specializing in each knight’s combat skills will likely take time and make experimenting at the start of the game that much more worthwhile. Gotham Knights.

Gotham Knights will be released on October 25, 2022 for PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.
