The Halo Infinite Campaign was widely appreciated by fans and critics alike. But there are some things that fans have been speculating about since its release. There is the absence of Wildlife to Zeta Halo just like the Forerunner Promethean Soldiers in the game that was under Cortanas control in Halo 5: Guardians even though we have them in the 2018 E3 trailer. But recent leaks suggest that content has been removed from the game.
Halo Infinite’s Cut-Content Shows Wildlife and Prometheans
The Halo Infinite single-player campaign revamps the two-decade-old series by returning to its origins and building on the core gameplay and mechanics by adding new content, mechanics, and features. The franchise abandons its old linear gameplay to adopt an open world map, while retaining the classic gameplay both in its iconic vehicles and on foot.
Players will experience a level of combat never seen before in any previous installment in the franchise. Players can immerse themselves in the vast open world and complete the overwhelming list of activities that allow them to earn more battle options. While it doesn’t capture the environmental variation, some NPCs and wildlife, or the trilogy’s memorable story, it’s still an exciting return for Microsoft’s mascot Master Chief.
The Zeta Wildlife and the Forerunner Prometheans were featured in many prominent Halo titles, and players expected them both to appear in the game, but they didn’t, despite appearing in Halo Infinite’s E3 trailer. But we have learned the truth thanks to recent leaks.
We may never know why the developers chose to omit the Zeta Halo fauna and the Promeathans from the title, but recent leaks suggest the latter would supposedly be included in the game thanks to @leaks_infinite on Twitter. The recent leaks showed some of the cut content with a series of videos portraying various enemies that never came into play, a few wildlife, including three Promethean units.
Fight the Crusher in Halo Infinite!
This thing has quite a bit of health, a bit too much imo. It takes a total of 12 missiles to kill it. #Halo #HaloInfinite We will be posting more. pic.twitter.com/HC4tIdg1Fx— Halo Leaks | Infinite Leaks & News (@leaks_infinite) August 26, 2022
Spotted the first of the leaked creatures breaker, a huge and aggressive bipedal animal that consisted of a thick skin. The beast had Banished-themed armor plates and two thick and wide horns over its head. From speculation we can assume that the creature would be a tamed creature that is banned to let go later Master chef and his allies in battle.
The unarmored version of the beast suggests that the game would feature wild Crushers who would have been neutral or otherwise hostile to the player and even the Banished. We also saw a rhinoceros-like animal back at E3 2018. The animal was relatively docile and neutral. Both animals had some sound effects and basic animations, but the rhinoceros lacked decent running animations and death animations.
What’s strange is that the Prometheans contain highly detailed complex models elaborated with complete animations and visual sets, but the caveat is that they have no textures and many of them have no sound effects.
The three species found were: soldiersthe group’s medium armored main lines, the watchersfast and agile air support units and tanky warriors with powerful melee weapons and designated weaknesses that players should exploit to break down their armor.

The thought that different versions of the soldier have been discovered surprises the fan base and the gaming community. Some models had reinforced protection and heavy weapons such as freestanding turrets. Halo Infinite‘s files also contain two different types of Watchers, although they both look almost identical.
There is speculation that these character models were in the final stages of their creation and implementation of the game, but the team leaders and directors decided to take them out of the game at the last minute, which is a shame to say the least.
We can take a moment to think about how these creatures and the Prometheans would have influenced Halo Infinite’s campaign and gameplay experience. The game featuring large creatures likely to be hostile to the enemy and allied factions, along with the remnants of Cortana’s Promethean army exploring Zeta Halo, would have created a more dynamic and expansive open world.
Maybe developers just didn’t have the time or resources needed to include them in the campaign in a way that would have proved meaningful for the storyline. Maybe it would have made the game a little too chaotic.

Anyway, the fanbase and community would love to see it 343 industries rethink their idea of adding wildlife and additional factions to Halo Infinite’s PVE mode. Maybe we’ll see the Prometheans and the Crusher make their way to some DLC content or even future iterations of the franchise.
Halo Infinite is currently available for the PC and Xbox One, Xbox Series S|Xand Xbox Game Pass. Despite some glitches here and there, it’s arguably one of the best Xbox shooters on the market. It’s a perfect fit for gamers who still love the iconic arena-style FPS combat that were once a staple of the later the 90’s and early 2000s. Players can also enjoy the exciting campaign with its incredible gameplay and solid campaign that builds on the long-running legacy of Master Chief.
