- Which games exactly? CS:GO, PUPG, World of Warcraft, I might play a new game once a year (Final Fantasy 7 Remake is planned for example)
- Which resolution? Full HD (1920×1080) is enough for me
- Ultra/High/Medium/Low graphics settings? High would be good. Ultra is nice but doesn’t have to be and after 2.3 years I’m completely fine, even with a medium setting!
- Is 30 FPS enough for you or should it be 60 or even 144 FPS? 60-70 FPS suits me in the long run
2. Do you want to use the PC for image/music/video editing or CAD? As a hobby or are you a professional? What software are you going to use.

3. Do you have special requirements or wishes (overclocking, a particularly quiet PC, RGB lighting, …)?
1.2 fans with RGB lighting + RGB housing (if the money is still there, not 100%!)
4. How many and which monitors do you want to use? Number, model, resolution, refresh rate (Hertz)? Is FreeSync (AMD) or G-Sync (Nvidia) supported? (Please provide a link to the manufacturer or price comparison!)
Currently only one (1920 x 1080), 144Hertz, 1-4 ms (gaming monitor – LG). A second may be planned.

My setup:
1. In general I have followed the advice here from the forum, there are only 2.3 questions left for me… As already written above I am the “casual gamer” and the PC is probably even too “good” for the said games “? I have no idea if I could handle 1 game a year (with high demands) with a system a number below it?! I am definitely not one to play at ultra resolutions or extremely high FPS… if my system is only running on medium settings after 2 years I won’t kill myself!(The RGB lighting is nice too, but not a MUST!)
2. The first idea was “Intel Core i3-12100F, 4C/8T, 3.30-4.30GHz, boxed” or a number higher “Intel Core i5-11400F, 6C/12T, 2.60-4.40GHz, boxed”. With number 2 I’m currently around €154 and that’s why I opted for the AMD Ryzen 5 5600 for only €175 at the moment (€20 more isn’t really something).
My question regarding CPU and GPU is therefore: there is probably no real price/performance alternative at the moment for the Radeon RX 6600 in the range of up to €300 (I won’t spend more than that)? My actual $200 pain threshold is definitely not there (you can read it in all forums/benchmarks)… I, as someone who has no real idea, wonders if an Intel Core i3 with a Radeon RX 6600 isn’t the wrong mix ? Therefore, the AMD Ryzen 5 5600 is “same” as the i5-12400F only currently cheaper …
My core question is therefore more focused on “boring”. For €700-800 I certainly won’t get anything new for the next 4-5 years (I generally never retrofit). If I can use the system below to play new games on medium settings for years to come, I’ll be fine! Otherwise, the i3-12100F might even be enough for the next two years (games mentioned above)?
The system below is generally open to criticism and is built from my (non-existing) theoretical knowledge ^^! If you see improvements (+/- 10-20€) – feedback is welcome. I like to learn, even if you say I3 is enough for you…
