PRO Clubs is one of the most popular modes for FIFA fans to play soccer with friends.

You control only your player and each of you takes up a single position, just like you could on real grass.

Developer EA just unveiled its Pro Clubs deep dive with all the biggest changes to the mode.

Here are all the changes to this FIFA mode made during the announcement.

It wasn’t uncommon to hear FIFA 22 Volta Football or Pro Club players complain about how annoying these modes are.

Now FIFA 23 combines the progress of both modes, so whatever you play, you progress on both sides.

First launched in FIFA 20, Volta is the street football version of the game, with lots of cosmetics to unlock as a bonus.

This means that players can now also unlock Volta Coins and XP/Skill Points in Pro Clubs.

Level up

Changes will make it much easier to level up.

Changes will make it much easier to level up.

Due to community feedback about how slow the leveling was in FIFA 22 Pro Clubs, EA changed the system.

Not only will the XP be shared, but the player’s progress has now been increased to 100 levels.

This means that players can level up more often and rewards are distributed more evenly.

A number of perks have also been added, including poacher, interceptor, light passes, and take flight.

‘Take flight’ is a new signature skill that allows you to jump higher in corners like Cristiano Ronaldo.

Top scorers

For the first time, you'll see top players on the accolades screen.

As with other online games, such as shooters and battle royales, the top performers of each match are shown during the accolades screen.

It will be judged based on performance such as most distance traveled or most tackles made.

This means you can see how you compare without looking at the score sheet.

Player ratings have also been reworked and now reward more fair defensive players who don’t score many goals but are still an important part of the action.

Big plays

Volta players get a brand new stadium, much bigger than other arenas.

Not only will there be a lot more space, but the walls will also be more resilient, allowing for longer passes, and the target area will be increased.

Those who like to keep their games small need not be alarmed though, as the other arenas still remain in rotation.

There are also new cosmetics for both modes, such as shoes and accessories.

For the first time, players can show some ink as tattoos are introduced.

Other funny accessories like broken nose guard have been added, but you can’t equip them in Pro Club game.

Cross play you say?

FIFA 23 introduces online crossplay on various consoles, divided between two groups of players of the latest and latest generation.

This means PS5, Xbox Series X/S, Google Stadia and PC players can all share a pitch, while PS4 and Xbox One owners can also play together.

However, the latest crossplay feature is not available for 11-player Pro Club matches.

Players can still play with friends online, but only on the same type of console.

While EA knows this is a feature the community wants, it was unable to implement it for FIFA 23.

In a statement, it explained: “Due to the technical complexity of implementing cross-play, modes that link players together, such as Pro Clubs, will not include cross-play at this time.”

However, there will be improvements to drop-ins, making getting in and out of the match smoother.

Players can also perform skill moves with their left feet for the first time.

The most intriguing update to Pro Clubs gameplay is the reported improvements to drop-ins, including shorter games and even golden goal situations.

For the short time or those who want a warm up, this is perfect.

FIFA 23 will be released on September 30, and those who purchase the Ultimate edition will get access three days early.
