Elden Ring PS5 PS4

A new Elden Ring update is now available for download on PS5 and PS4, bringing the game to version 1.06. The biggest addition it makes is that you can send your summons to summon pools in many different areas, increasing your chances of being picked by another player. The official patch notes reveal how you can even send them to “distant areas” so you don’t have to worry about being in a specific place to be summoned.

Elsewhere, patch 1.06 allows you to advance White Mask Varre’s questline by killing a new NPC rather than invading another player. Invasions have also been expanded so that you can “invade a wider area, including distant areas”. Furthermore, balance changes are underway for Greatswords, Curved Greatswords, and Great Hammers.

Additional elements

  • Added the feature to send callsigns to call pools in multiple areas, including remote areas.
  • When sending a co-op board to distant areas with this feature, calling pools in “Mohgwyn Palace” is excluded
  • Added feature to invade a wider area, including distant areas
  • Added a new way to advance White Mask Varre’s questline other than taking part in a multiplayer invasion by defeating a new NPC

Balance changes

  • Added the following tweaks to Greatsword, Curved Greatsword, and Great Hammers:
  • Reduced the time it takes to enable rolls after an attack (not included jump attack, dual wield attack and mounted attacks)
  • Increased movement speed of strong attack and attack (mounted attacks not included)
  • Increased Guard Movement Speed
  • Increased the attack speed of Great Axes and reduced the time it takes to enable rolls after an attack (not included jump attack, dual wield attack and mounted attacks)
  • Increased roll distance when the player has a light load of gear.
  • Increased the hitbox of Cipher Pata’s weapon ability “Unblockable Blade”
  • Increases the range of Ash of War “Glintstone Pebble” and “Glintstone Dart” projectiles while reducing damage and staggering power
  • Ash of War “Bloodhound Step” travel distance and invincibility frames have been reduced while the changes below have been added:

・Reduced performance under continuous use

・Increased travel distance with light equipment

  • Shortens the activation interval when using the “Quick Step” skill sequentially, increasing the ability to circle around the enemy when trapped and adding the changes below:

・Reduced performance under continuous use

・Increased travel distance with light equipment

  • Reduced damage build-up and bleeds from “Corpse Piler” weapon ability when hit by the blood attack. When hit by the blade, the damage is only slightly reduced
  • The target tracking ability of sorcery “Stars of Ruin” reduced

Bug fixes

  • Fixed a bug that prevented some “Lucerne” attacks from piercing the enemy’s guard
  • Fixed a bug that made it more difficult for a two-handed jump attack with “Bloodhound’s Fang” to break the enemy’s stance
  • Fixed a bug that caused the “Determination” and “Royal Knight’s Resolve” effect to disappear after using the “Parry” skill with a dagger
  • Fixed a bug when double wielding Axe and Greataxe causing extra effects of spells, weapon abilities and items not to be applied correctly
  • Fixed a bug when giving a halberd with two hands that made it more difficult to resist the enemy’s attack after using a guard counter
  • Fixed a bug that caused some weapons’ physical attack affinity to differ from the affinity stated in the description.
  • Fixed a bug that made it easier for the player to be spotted by the enemy when wearing “Death Bed Dress” even when crouching
  • Fixed a bug that caused a flail attack to damage an ally’s character when wearing “Deathbed Dress”
  • Fixed a bug that caused HP to regenerate when switching your gear to a certain type of armor
  • Fixed a bug where the effect added to the weapon when using “Mists of Slumber” was lost when the player received an attack
  • Fixed a bug that caused the playable character’s movement to become unstable when hitting certain enemies with the “Ghostflame Ignition” skill
  • Fixed a bug that prevented the player from using the “The Queen’s Black Flame” skill follow-up attack when performing the skill with insufficient FP
  • Fixed a bug with the “Zamor Ice Storm” weapon skill, which made it easier for the player to resist the enemy’s attack when using the skill with insufficient FP
  • Fixed a bug that caused the effect of spells and items added to the right hand weapon to occur when using certain weapon skills with the left hand.
  • Fixed a bug that caused the description of the FP consumption of certain weapon skills to differ from the actual FP cost
  • Fixed a bug that prevented “Rock Blaster” from consuming FP when used with a staff on the left and no weapon on the right
  • Fixed a bug that caused the charged version of “Black Flame Ritual” to consume the same amount of stamina as the normal version
  • Fixed a bug that caused the player to receive less HP recovery from incantations and items other than “Flask of Crimson Tears” when activating the “Malenia’s Great Rune” effect
  • Fixed a bug that prevented the “Opaline Hardtear” from increasing the negation of physical damage
  • Fixed a bug that prevented the player from jumping in the air while driving under specific conditions
  • Fixed a bug that allowed a jump attack with colossal weapons while mounted to hit twice in a row
  • Fixed a bug that caused some characters to appear more than once in the Summoning Pool
  • Fixed a bug that caused a weapon skill’s attack effect to persist under certain conditions
  • Fixed a bug that sometimes caused significant performance issues in “Ordina, Liturgical Town” under certain circumstances
  • Fixed a bug that prevented the player from picking up fallen runes on death under certain circumstances
  • Fixed a bug that allowed users to reach certain inaccessible areas during multiplayer
  • Fixed a bug that caused the multiplayer area to have a different boundary than expected
  • Fixed a bug that caused some enemies to display incorrect visuals and behavior.
  • Fixed a bug that caused incorrect sounds to be played under certain conditions.
  • Fixed a bug where some areas prevented the player from moving, leading to death
  • Fixed a bug that caused some places on the map to have incorrect images and hit boxes.
  • Fixed a bug in some maps that allowed users to reach unexpected locations using certain procedures.
