Soulful, a term most gamers have essentially become familiar with over the past decade. What started as a masochist’s fantasy eventually became the most in-demand game genre. This genre would not be where it is today without the masterpiece that glorified it in the first place, Bloodborne.
The vision set in motion by Demon Souls was refined to perfection as Bloodborne. It’s been hailed as a marvel by anyone who’s played it, but that’s a relatively short list. The game is a PlayStation 4 exclusive, so most players will be deprived of its remarkable playability.
Lately, Sony has made some well-thought-out advancements aimed at the PC market. It all started when Horizon Zero Dawn, a game developer Guerrilla Studio said would never come to PC, came to PC. Later, the “Only on PlayStation” titles arrived on Windows one after the other.
God of War, Death Stranding and Spiderman are already slated for PC. Rumor has it that a Ghost of Tsushima gate may also enter. Now, this begs the question, is? Bloodborne to meet that fate? Well, that’s what I’m going to tell you.
There have been recent rumors that could indicate that a possible port is in development. If so, that’s a great result. Not just for the vast sea of PC gamers, but also for Sony’s financial gain.
Will there be a Bloodborne PC port?
This would have been considered an odd question a few years ago. But due to the recent surge in the transfer of PlayStation exclusive titles, Bloodborne will be coming to PC soon.
So what fueled the flames for the community to be hopeful in the first place? Well, there are two reasons. You will find both described below.
PS4 games were spotted coming to PC
Someone has leaked a list of PlayStation exclusive products headed to PC with Nvidia support on Medium. This was initially taken very casually. Within a few months, most of the listed games started getting PC ports, and so the Souls community got on the hype train.
intriguing, Bloodborne was not on that list. The games on that list seemed to be from the second half of the PS4 cycle. This happened to match what Sony executives had said earlier in 2021.
Sony’s statement on Bloodborne PC?
Jim Ryan, an executive at Sony, had some intriguing words to say when asked about Sony’s future PC ports. He claimed,
“Especially from the second half of the PS4 cycle, our studios have made some wonderful, great games.”
“There is an opportunity to expose those great games[Exclusives] for a wider audience[PC].”
This was in 2021 and since then, as you know, three exclusive games have made their way to PC. Two more sets will be added later this year. The quotes mentioned above state that Sony is targeting games released in the second half of the PS4. Indicating that if a Bloodborne PC port done, it would take a while.
Bloodborne PC port coming soon?
It is technical tradition in the Bloodborne community that occasionally sparks a new rumor. While there has been a lot of speculation recently, Sony hasn’t announced anything official for a PC port.
After being misled regularly, the Souls community has been depressed lately. Even many well-known leakers and journalists are at a loss when it comes to reporting on Bloodborne’s arrival on pc. Have a look below,
Again, all those advocating a possible PC port never say it’s a foregone conclusion. So blaming them is not admirable. There have been other rumors that we might get a Remaster for the PS5 instead. Appreciated, but not required. Fans prefer a Port or sequel.
There was another news circulating in 2020 that: Bloodborne: The Hunter’s Edition is under development. There was hope for a possible PC port or patch for the PS5. Unfortunately, that too was debunked shortly afterwards.
Bloodborne on PC has many new features
The souls game works amazingly well on the PS4. With the improved hardware of the PS5, a patch or remaster is great to dive into. Still, the number of tweaking options available to you on PC is immeasurable.
Yes, Elden Ring is hype, but that’s not where the true passion for endless deaths came from. Bloodborne was where it sparked.
Once you dive into the game, you end up in the gothic and dilapidated Yharnam. The environment gives an eerie feeling that most games just can’t work right. Then you go into battle, you’re scared, but your body is pumping adrenaline at the same time.
The mechanics are smooth, the tone is dark and the environment compliments that in a beautiful way specific to Bloodborne. You die repeatedly, but From meticulously plans it in a way that keeps you hooked. It’s no wonder how good this game would be on PC, especially at 60fps.

Bloodborne PC release date
There is no official statement from Sony regarding a Bloodborne PC port. But with so many PlayStation exclusives being added to the Steam library, expect a PC port to follow soon.
You may not have believed this at first. But if you really thought about it, exclusives that were no longer exclusive would have presented themselves as a viable possibility. There is a lot of potential in the PC market and Sony knows it.
Bloodborne 2 linked to a PC port
It is possible that the next game is from From Software Bloodborne 2. They may be releasing DLC for Elden Ring, but that’s about it. After that, what’s next? They’ve already done three Dark Souls as you know. Sekiro 2 is possible, but the timing for a sequel to the Yharnam world couldn’t be better.
The gory adventure has been out for over 7 years now and the community is still alive. Releasing a PC port associated with a Bloodborne 2 exclusive announcement would increase PS5 sales tenfold. That would be a devastating strategy from Sony, and a welcome one.
With From’s schedule in mind, there’s a time before a sequel comes out. Plus, given From Software’s history in perspective, their next game should already be in pre-production.
They have released four Triple-A games for the PS4. You won’t find many other studios capable of the same feat. So you should expect to see Bloodborne 2 in a few years, if at all. As for the PC port, it’s probably coming your way in Q3 2022.
What is the Bloodborne PC PSX Demake?
did you want Bloodborne on pc? Well you got it! Technically, though, it’s not what you had in mind. The PC version is a fan-made indie remake of the game on PS1. It takes 6 hours to beat and has a stark, pixelated art style to match the vibe of the original.
To say From Software has a huge audience is an understatement. They have guided a cult following in creating the Souls genre. That’s why recently Lilith Walther, a die-hard fan, gave everything to create a Bloodborne PSX demake.

They cover all updates and news about a possible transfer. And if there’s nothing to report, you’ll see them tweeting that another deserted day has passed without the Yharnam world on PC.
Is Bloodborne playable on PC via the new PlayStation Plus?
Yes, Bloodborne is playable on PC via Cloud Streaming. However, keep in mind that you need a PlayStation Plus Premium membership for $17.99 per month.
Recently, Sony has redesigned its PlayStation subscription services. This was primarily done to combat the ever-increasing competitive threat posed by Xbox’s Game Pass.
It was previously playable via PlayStation Now, which cost $9.99 per month. It offered Cloud Streaming and a unique catalog of downloadable PS4 games. Unfortunately, after the recent tier system installation, Sony has increased that price tag.
All those PC players who used to pay $9.99 a month now have to cough up a whopping $17.99 a month. Yikes, you better get a PS5.
How do you play Bloodborne on PC?
Here’s how to stream the game on your PC,
- Buy a PlayStation Plus Premium membership from the official Sony Store.
- Download the PlayStation Plus app on your PC.
- Log in to your PlayStation account while in the app.
- Connect your PS4 controller to your PC via Bluetooth or USB cable.
- Search Bloodborne in the app library.
- Press stream and you’re good to go!
Is Bloodborne PC coming to Steam?
Sony has already made serious strides in expanding its Steam library. It is certain that if Bloodborne receive a PC port, you can find it on Steam. But if Epic Games signed an exclusivity deal, that would be a different story.
It’s highly unlikely that you’ll see it coming as an Epic Game Store exclusive. The Epic Game Store doesn’t even have a single From Software game in its collection. So to imagine a PC port coming to it exclusively would be crazy.
Sony has been keeping an eye on the PC market for a while now. Seeing so many “Only on PlayStation” exclusives come to life on PC has sparked the imagination. Spiderman, God of War and Horizon Zero Dawn are already on Steam. So who’s to say Bloodborne won’t you join?
Soul fans should keep a viable PC port in mind. You may not see an official announcement until mid-2023, as Spiderman will be released in August 2022.
