
Harley Quinn is arguably one of the most played characters in the absurdly popular game, MultiVersus. She’s one of this platform fighter’s Assassin-esque characters and has some incredibly satisfying moves that lead to lots of easy-to-execute combos. And in the beginning, many people thought she was overpowered. But compared to some characters who need nerfs, it’s clear she isn’t.
Still, many Harley main players are hitting a wall in terms of their MMR as they start to get it up against increasingly better opponents, especially in 1v1 mode. So, here are some of the best benefits to use on Harley Quinn in MultiVersus that could be just enough to bridge that gap.
The Best Harley Quinn Benefits in MultiVersus
First, let’s say her Perk configuration right away and move on from there. The best gear for Harley Quinn is:
- Signature: Glove control
- Defense: Smooth customer
- offence: Hit them while they’re down
- offence: Up, Up and A-Slay
This guide now goes into why each of the benefits is best performed individually, but let’s talk about her Signature Perk, Glove Control, and her only defensive advantage, Smooth customerfirst.
Glove check and slick customer reasoning
Harley is one of the few characters that actually has three different ones Signature benefits to choose from at level 15+, and these are Glove control, smooth movements, and Confetti explosion. But why is Glove Control the best of the three? We will, Smooth movements is useful because it adds some invincibility frames to Harleys Prank Shots, which makes it easier for her to dodge, which is important for an Assassin. But top players don’t use her Prank Shots so often, and the difference it makes isn’t groundbreaking.
Next one, confetti explosion, while it reads as something incredibly powerful, it’s actually quite the opposite. The explosion created at Max Confetti Stacks with Confetti Explosion actually replaces the Ignite effect that this passive stand has, which Harley players usually rely on to deal tons of passive damage to their opponents throughout the match.
So all that’s left is Glove controlwith which to aim her boxing ring more accurate, leading to better coverage and easier spikes. It’s simple, but this small change to this move completely changes the way Harley approaches some adverse circumstances.
For her first “little” Perk, it’s a Defense-type Perk, and not one that many would probably expect Harley Quinn to run, Smooth customer. But many people often forget that Harley is an Assassin, meaning she deals 14 percent more damage in total, but also takes 14 percent more of her opponents.
Additionally, Ms. Quinzel is one of the lighter characters in the game, meaning she can be smashed into the Blast Zone in the high 40s or 50s, depending on the situation. So by using Slippery Customer she can dodge attacks a little easier and Harley can play mains aggressively while also avoiding unnecessary damage.
Hit them while they’re down
Harley’s Passive Ability, AKA Confetti Timeessentially gives her a constant That is flammable document Perk without taking any of the three (technically four) Perk slots. To work out, many of Harley’s moves apply this “Confetti” Debuff, and when hit with this applied, they are ignited.
And many of the best Harley players tend to keep their opponent Ignited or at least wary Confetti Stacks most of the game. So running a Perk that takes advantage of this constant Debuffed status is obvious, especially if Harley is in teams with another Debuff-centric character like Batman, Velma, and so on.
Up, up and dead
Anyone who has even played Ms. Quinn a few times knows very well just how “Vertica” her moveset is, as she is described in the game as a Vertical Assassin. Just to name a few of the attacks/specials that players launch vertically, there are:
- jerk-in-the-box
- Batter up!
- The explosion of triggering Stuffie Bat
- Confetti Garnet
- Heads up!
- And the last hit of Clown combination
It’s safe to say that the bulk of her gear is generally geared toward beating players vertically and/or knocking out the top blast zone. So this perk is an obvious addition, as it makes all those attacks do more damage overall, leading to earlier kills and better punishments.
Other popular extras
That all said, MultiVersus matchups have a lot of variety. There are players who swear they don’t use Offense-type Perks, some players who always adjust their entire Perk setup to match the enemy team’s characters, and some who don’t change anything at all. So let’s take a look at some of the other Perks that Harley power supplies tend to run in case they try to antagonize or adapt to the person on the other side of the arena:
- Utilities: Air Acrobat – The increased air acceleration is useful for approaching other aggressive characters such as Finn or Arya.
- Utilities: Triple Jump – Always decent to run, especially if an ally stacks it.
- Utilities: You Dodge I Dodge We Dodge – A good choice for Harley players who rely heavily on her Jerk-In-The-Boxes or Stuffie Bats.
- Utilities: Tasmanian Trigonometry – Perfect choice when taking on heavy hitters like Iron Giant or Shaggy.
- Defense: School Me Once – Usually used against heavy projectile characters such as Tom and Jerry or Reindog.
- offence: Lumpy Space Punch – For a more aggressive play style centered around Harley’s Aerial Pummeler
- offence: Ice To Beat You – Situation, but great for players who put her Stuffie Bats to good use.
- offence: That’s Flameable Doc – Actually works well when stacked with her Confetti as it just leads to more Ignite triggers in general.
