The first post-pandemic live Evo event kicks off later today, on August 5, 2022, in Las Vegas, and the event will feature a plethora of gaming tournaments and announcements, as well as a PlayStation lounge.

This year’s highly anticipated fighting game event will be bigger than usual, and it will feature eight official Twitch streams bringing the action live to those at home.

Evo 2022 will feature nine titles, with players from 63 countries representing their country in an all-out brawl. Below is a list of all the games that will be featured this year and the number of participants for each.

  • Guilty acceleration pursuit: 2161 participants
  • Street Fighter V: 1320 participants
  • Tekken 7: 1220 participants
  • The King of Fighters XV: 1014 participants
  • Dragon Ball Fighter Z: 636 participants
  • Granblue Fantasy vs: 528 participants
  • Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate: 464 participants
  • Melty Blood: Lumina Type: 411 participants
  • Skullgirls: 2nd encore: 295 participants

While the full schedule is not yet known, fans will have access to information about the Day 1 game and the streams the games will take place on. The matchups will be updated on the official Evo website after each match.

The PlayStation Evo lounge will be a curated show with additional content about the event and interviews with players. For now, it is confirmed that Arc System Works, Warner Bros, Capcom, SNK and Bandai Namco will make an appearance on the show.

The lounge can be streamed on the official PlayStation Twitch channel and will air today from 12pm PT / 3pm ET to 8pm PT / 11pm ET and Saturdays from 10am PT / 1pm ET to 7pm PT / 10pm ET .
