– On August 26, the international server of Mobile Legends Adventure (MLA) celebrates her 3rd birthday. The game was launched in Japan and South Korea in 2021 and enjoyed huge success such as MLA quickly reached the top of the charts in the free-to-play games list for iOS and Google Play in South Korea, and also topped the download list for two platforms in Japan last year.

Mobile Legends: Adventure (MLA) is a mobile idle RPG with: Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) heroes and their adventure in the Land of the Dawn. Play as an Imperial Commander, recruit your favorite heroes, form your own squad and venture to all corners of the Land of Dawn, but this time in quintessentially Japanese magical anime style. Compared to other AFK games, MLA emphasizes the progression of the plot. JRPGs have a strong sense of substitution and players are often moved by the plot, unconsciously identifying with their role in the game. The main storyline of MLA is also developed through character dialogues and cutscenes, and each character is designed with high quality ultimate skill animations. In terms of gameplay, the main routine is card-turn-based combat, but there are also several light strategy missions, such as classic dungeon exploration and mazes.

MLA‘s storyline continues with part of MLBBpopular character stories, such as Esmeralda’s various bond stories with Alice and Lunox, but there are also many original element heroes. For each season, heroes with a different theme are placed, such as Tokinibara, a female samurai who lost an eye in battle with the Onmyoji, which will be released in the final S8 season.

Like a useless game, MLA offers a more humane gameplay experience in the long run. It’s non-grindy, about 5-10 minutes of play is enough to complete the daily quests. The main feature of the game is idle play, but leveling doesn’t equal pay-to-win: even if the player doesn’t work, the team in the game will continue to fight and grow at the current adventure level. Your heroes automatically collect rewards for you while you sleep, work, or play other games, so you don’t have to grind for resources to level up your heroes. In MLA, there is a unique One-tap level-up system, you don’t have to spend resources on every new hero you summon. Instead, you can place 5 of your highest-level heroes in the Sacred Sanctuary and then place your new heroes in the available slots to instantly level them up to your strongest heroes.

The R&D team pays a lot of attention to players’ opinions on gameplay and characters. For example, the game developers turned Clara, which originally appeared in the store as a signboard, into an official hero with well-designed skills and a more refined image, as she was much loved by players, which launched last July.
