Neon White came out recently and it’s great in almost all aspects. This instant classic is an FPS with a twist, built from the ground up for fast running. Going from one end of the level to the other, using weapons, skills and your wits to collect the best time possible is what the game is mainly about.

But Neon White spreads out its gameplay mechanics brilliantly as it slowly brings in new enemies and weapons, all culminating in a way that can only be described as controlled chaos.

Neon White is definitely exciting and while the gameplay is the star, the game has a solid story, which is a great foundation for all the action in it. Packed with style, it’s already one of the best indie games of the year and can certainly match the popularity of high-profile AAA titles.

Most of you probably had a great time playing the demon hunter game and defeating demons. Have you already beaten the game and are looking for something similar, which has a similar atmosphere and pace? Well, ladies and gentlemen, you have come to the right place, we are here to proudly show you a list of games that you can play if you like Neon White. Sit back, take your time and make your choice!

1. Paradise killer

Paradise Killer is a first-person open-world game in which you must solve a murder mystery. You play as Lady Love Dice, a researcher who was brought to Paradise Island after the mass murder of the Island Council. You will have to search for clues and interrogate suspects to find all the necessary evidence.

So far, this may seem like a static detective game, but by its very nature Paradise Killer is a free form, allowing you to search the island at your own pace.

What paved Paradise Killer’s path to this list is the classy vibes it contains, which are very similar to what you saw in Neon White. So if you were blown away by Neon White’s design, you will absolutely love Paradise Killer’s beautiful island landscapes and anime characters.

2. Clear Memory: Infinite

Like Neon White, Bright Memory: Infinite is a fast-paced FPS shooter where you can use ranged and melee weapons against supernatural enemies. It’s not so much centered around freerunning like Neon White, but if you want to play something similar, this not very popular game would be a good bet.

Other than being something close to Neon White, Bright Memory: Infinite is a solid game in its own right. The year is 2036 and you are part of a supernatural scientific research organization. You get to fight in a city above the earth’s surface – Land of Sky, to prevent an evil organization from acquiring a legendary power that can revive the dead.

Land of Sky is home to floating landmasses and ancient supernatural creatures. Once you decide to visit this fun place, make sure to use the quick reflexes you developed while playing Neon White.

Platforms: Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series X and Series S, PlayStation 5, Android, iOS, Microsoft Windows

3. super hot

Each level in Superhot is an exciting self-contained puzzle that bends time and turns typical fast-paced shooting mechanics on its head. Every time you move, your enemies and their bullets move too, but if you stand still, time will too. This unique idea creates smart and intense situations.

If you try to play Superhot as a regular shooter, you will die pretty quickly. But if you dive deeper into the mechanics, you could become a true master of movement and strategy. Each level in Superhot is about 5 real-time seconds long, but the real gameplay exists when time has stood still, so you have to calculate every move carefully!

Aside from the shooting mechanics and use of the environment, Superhot levels are almost entirely in white, so you can definitely continue with Neon White’s level design atmosphere!

4. cluster car

Clustertruck is a crazy little indie game, with a simple concept – driving on the back of trucks with an inordinate amount of jumping and dodging to avoid obstacles. The game sends you to themed levels, one after the other, which become more and more difficult as you progress.

The game offers an unpredictable challenge that surprisingly doesn’t feel repetitive given its basic concept. There are situations that are so full of chaos that being ultra-conscious is the only way to make progress.

Like Neon White, you need to carefully assess the environment and go the right way. The only difference is that you get on a truck that is falling apart. Did we mention that the game’s levels are mostly in white?

Release date: September 27, 2016
Platforms: PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Cloud Gaming, Microsoft Windows, Linux, Macintosh operating systems

5. Ghostrunner

Can you imagine Neon White in a dark cyberpunk world? Have you ever wanted to be a super fast and deadly assassin in a world like this? Ghostrunner is just that! A game where you run fast, slide fast, kill fast, and if you can’t do all those things fast, you die fast. The resemblance to Neon White is so great that you can almost touch it. Ghostrunner is one of the closest things.

Ghostrunner tells the story of a cybernetically enhanced swordsman who awakens with amnesia. Guided by the voice of the architect, the story finds itself embroiled in an ongoing power struggle between the alleged rulers of the fractured cyberpunk world you find yourself in and a near-dying resistance.

We won’t spoil anything further, but keep in mind that some of you might even find Ghostrunner superior to Neon in some ways. But even if you don’t, you’re sure to satisfy your hunger for more kills and freerunning.

Release date: October 27, 2020
Platforms: PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Microsoft Windows, Nintendo Switch, Amazon Luna, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S

6. Mirror’s Edge

As we’re nearing the end of our list of similar games to Neon White, Mirror’s Edge might be just what you’re looking for. A futuristic world so white and bright your eyes hurt? Shoot the bad guys and do all kinds of crazy parkour moves? Sounds really similar to what we saw in Neon White.

But this time it’s not heaven and you’re not a demon hunter chasing demons, but a Runner trying to take down a totalitarian regime that rules a city in the not-so-distant future.

Mirror’s Edge was a revolution when it came out and who knows, in some ways it inspired Neon White. This Matrix-esque first-person shooter was well received by fans and critics alike and even spawned a sequel. A no-brainer, if you enjoyed Neon White, play it ASAP!

Release date: November 11, 2008
