The highly anticipated Saints Row reboot will be released in a few days so gamers can experience the chaos that will sweep the streets of Santo Ileso.

However, before embarking on the route to becoming a crime boss, there are a few aspects that players should be aware of. Saints Row is poised to provide the community with a plot that is more grounded than many recent games, even though it will largely retain the same format as its predecessors.

Like GTA, the Saints Row reboot will have a large open world of crime action. While it returns with new characters and a fresh setting, the focus will still be on the furious, theatrical gameplay.

With this new beginning, a new group of criminals will take center stage. Players will help them as they evolve from little petty thugs just trying to get by with the chaos-loving criminal organization known as the Saints.

5 different features that make the upcoming Saints Row title a great choice

1) Co-op mode

Saints Row will support a two-player drop-in/drop-out co-op mode at launch. The entire game can be played from start to finish in two-player co-op mode, where the second player can enter and exit at any time. Players and their partners have access to all functions of Santo Ileso, including all activities and objectives.

The two-player co-op mode also includes the ability to prank each other. By completing challenges, players can fill the joke meter and turn their friends into stupid inanimate objects like toilets, trash cans, mailboxes and other things.

Cross-gen play is available in Saints Row, allowing PS4 and PS5 gamers to join forces with Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S players to pull off some big crimes.

2) Missions and locations

The new residence of the Saints this time is the fictional southwestern city of Santo Ileso, which the game’s creators say is the largest Saints Row city to date. Players can explore nine different districts that make up the area.

Another appealing aspect of the game is the open world, which is full of Saints Row flavour, new opponents and intriguing locations where players can cause mayhem.

With 25 main objectives and 10 additional side missions, The Saints’ rise to power is traced. From a small gang they will grow into a vast empire that will confront each of the three competing factions: Los Panteros, The Idles and Marshall Defense Industries.

3) Customization

Players can make their boss look exactly how they want them to look with Saints Row’s latest character customization feature.

When creating a new one, eight ready-made models can be selected to serve as a starting point. This time, users can use their phones to quickly switch between up to 10 completely different bosses of different genders and nationalities.

Almost every aspect of the characters can be customized, including their mismatched facial features, prosthetics, skin tones, body shapes, and body decorations such as tattoos and piercings. The character customization tool is arguably the most advanced Volition added to Saints Row, having been seen in motion during the preview.

With over 80 vehicles each with different settings, vehicle customization is back in full effect in this reboot, allowing players to give them the look they want.

Almost every aspect of the vehicles, including the bodywork, interior color combinations, color schemes, decor, fluorescent lighting and more, can be customized in JimRob’s garage.

4) Benefits and Skills

Players will have to be quite picky as they can switch between their active skills on the go via their phone and only four can be turned on at a time. Skills are unlocked through regular gameplay and character leveling, then deployed while using Flow.

In addition, there will also be extras in the game. They are constant improvements that bring the character stats and other perks once involved. Players have access to two active perks in each of the three tiers of perks: Minor, Major and Elite.

The benefits they provide, such as greater hipfire efficiency, vehicle boosters, and others, are unlocked by successfully completing in-game challenges.

5) Side Quests, Rewards and Criminal Enterprises

Discoveries will be an added feature in Saints Row. They are encounters with minimal payouts that can be useful to earn some money at the start of the game.

There are side activities, which offer a higher payout with a slightly higher risk. There will also be customer jobs that Kevin, one of the original four Saints members, can perform repeatedly.

A brand new feature in Saints Row is the War Table, which will be located in the headquarters and give users access to a map of Santo Ileso so they can rule the growing empire of the Saints. Criminal Ventures are companies that serve as a front for illegal actions and a fresh perspective on open world operations.

14 unoccupied lots, scattered across the city, will be available to players. By building criminal enterprises on it, they can launch new game features and start district takeovers.

Players can access certain activities for each company they create. These include auto modification activities and the Chop Shop through JimRob’s garage, insurance fraud activities through the Shady Oaks Medical Clinic, and more.

Players who participate in this will receive experience points, money, and exclusive crew improvements for completing Criminal Ventures. They will also help the Saints move closer to completing their district takeover.
