In the world of PlayStation games, some characters end up squarely in disdain from almost everyone who plays their game. In contrast, there are times when the audience collectively hates a character who is meant to be likeable and sympathetic.

10 Zeus is a terrible king and a terrible father

Kratos spends a large part of the god of war franchise as a heartless, brutal killer who brings doom over Greece. To put Kratos in a sympathetic light, the franchise portrays the gods standing in his way as absolute monsters who more than deserve their terrible fate.

This is most true of Zeus, Kratos’ father and nemesis. Throughout the first trilogy, Zeus acts as a cunning manipulator seeking to eliminate anything that might disturb him. He does terrible things to Kratos because he doesn’t want to stand in line, not even kill him. Never respect or concern for anyone, few fans feel sorry for Zeus when Kratos comes for him.

7 Screwball acts like a more annoying task master

Most villains, even the bad ones, are at least respectable in Marvel’s Spider Man, but Screwball gets the wrong side of most players. She is a technology-oriented villain and often seems to harass Peter Parker. Though much loved in the base game, Screwball appears several more times in the DLC, highlighting her annoying traits.

Screwball’s segments are nothing more than re-skinned Taskmaster challenges. She escapes again and again, leaving Spider-Man looking somewhat incompetent. Meanwhile, her design and dialogue come across as dated and poorly written. Many fans were excited to arrest her in the Silver lining DLC.

6 Naomi Hunter has no loyalty
