Deep Silver’s reboot of the popular action-adventure game Saints Row was released on August 23, 2022, with avid gamers immediately taking to the internet to discuss the fastest vehicles they could unlock in the game. After all, for those looking to speed through Santo Ileso’s vast open world as quickly as possible, a fast ride is absolutely paramount. Fortunately, despite only three vehicle types (air, land, and water), there’s no shortage of top-shelf options to choose from.
Whether you’re looking for a city burnout with sports cars, motorcycles, jumbo jets, helicopter gunships and more, the fastest vehicles in the Saints Row 2022 offers something for everyone.
10 Fer De Lance
Modeled after a real Ferrari Enzo, the Fer De Lance is arguably the fastest car in the completely rebooted video game franchise even before players mod it up with kits and upgrades. The high-octane sports car can be fitted with nitro boosters to give it an extra kick, but even without them the car has near top speed to go with maximum performance stats right out of the gate.
While the car isn’t ideal for off-road driving, its above-average durability allows players to speed through Santo while taking a lot of damage. Additionally, Fer De Lance’s signature Jump ability allows him to avoid delays by jumping over rush hour traffic. When ultra-fast sports cars are beneficial, Fer De Lance is really hard to top. Players can unlock the Jump ability by performing three barrel rolls after locating the car at the Woodbush Country Club in Monte Lista.
9 Attrazione
One way to beat the Fer De Lance in a flat race is to unlock the almighty Attrazione, a beautiful high-performance sports car with the pattern of a Lamborghini Cala. Aside from top speed and handling from the jump, the Attrazione leaves its competition in the dust thanks to its Infinite Boost signature ability. As such, it has a maximum speed score of 88.
The Infinite Boost uses full nitrous oxide combustion to instantly replenish nitrous oxide and allows drivers to accelerate a full second faster than without. An already fast Supercar in stock mode, Attrazione is easily the fastest vehicle in the game with the signature Infinite Boost ability. Players can unlock the skill by finding the car near the School of Art & Design in Marina West and completing three nitrous challenges.
8 Raycaster
For those looking for a blazing Supercar that isn’t as flashy as Fer De Lance or Attrazione, the Raycaster is the way to go. The streamlined burner is modeled after a Nissan 370Z and has top speed stats similar to the others. Despite having a dip in overall performance, he’s better served when he takes to the dirt off-road in the much-loved action-adventure PS5 game.
Fortunately, the Raycaster is a fairly common respawn in the game and doesn’t require much to unlock and obtain, making it an even more convenient alternative to the aforementioned sports cars. Even cooler, the car can be modified into a convertible and uses the signature Ejector Seat ability for thrill seekers willing to jump out of the speeding car as safely as possible.
7 V indicator
A blistering retro-futuristic rocket car with excellent top speed stats and much better off-road capabilities than the others, the Vindicator is a must-have for players looking to zip through Santo Ileso as fast as possible. While it doesn’t have the same driveability as the high-performance sports cars, its distinctive capability more than makes up for its shortcomings.
Like the Attrazione, the Vindicator also features the Infinite Boost signature ability by using a full nitrous burn to replenish the gas boosters at all times. As long as players don’t bump into anything while the Infinite Boost is activated, they can accelerate faster and faster to infinity. To unlock these, simply find all five lost wheel parts in Badlands North and perform a trio of nitrous boosts.
6 Bucket
At first glance, the heavy-looking box, modeled after a 1932 Ford Model B, doesn’t seem that fast. After driving across Santo Ileso, it is clearly one of the fastest and most agile vehicles in the highly anticipated 2022 PS5 game, which is a major improvement over the previous version of the car, the Rumbler, in the original. Saint’s Row.
In addition to its awesome max speed stats before changes, the Bucket joins the Attrazione and Vindicator as one of a handful of vehicles to blast away completion with its Infinite Boost signature ability, using permanent nitrous oxide boosters to accelerate to blazing fast speeds as long as no crashes occur when activated. Players can unlock the car by completing the Unto the Breach mission.
5 phoenix
Modeled after a Mustang GT with a roaring V-8 engine, the Phoenix is an ultra-powerful muscle car that combines raw speed with raw power and handling to become one of the fastest cars in the reboot. What’s really cool about the Phoenix is its signature ability, which encourages a fight instead of running away from it.
With his brutal Ball & Chain ability, the Phoenix combines his awesome max speed and performance stats with deadly destruction by leaving a trail of violent damage. As such, the car is not only ideal for chases and escapes, but it is also intended for head-on defeating enemies in combat.
4 Kenshin
While motorcycles are lighter and sometimes faster than cars, they also have much smaller engines to generate horsepower and torque for top-notch acceleration. That is, while most engines in Saints Row are slightly above average in speed, the Kenshin blows them all away and is a must-have for gamers looking for the fastest vehicles to play with.
The Kenshin also uses Infinite Boost’s signature ability to increase acceleration and top speeds and has a standard 84 maximum speed score that goes up to 90 with nitrous oxide. Players can unlock it by finding the bike just outside JimRob’s Chop Shop and performing three nitrous boosts.
3 MDI-707B
In front of Saints Row fans who have bothered to unlock the cool looking hoverboard only to realize it moves at a snail’s pace, luckily the MDI-707B is in play to lift their spirits as well as their speed. The awesome secret hover bike uses jet propulsion to defeat its enemies in the blink of an eye, making it one of the faster planes other than a helicopter or jet.
Fans can unlock the bike by completing the final story mission, Showdown, before finding it near Plaza de Verano in Kavanaugh Country Territory. While it will cost a lot to earn, fans will immediately see why the secret hover bike is such a fast vehicle in the popular 2022 open world game.
2 Tornado
Of the three helicopters available in the popular open world game, the Marshall Tornado is the fastest and most destructive to use. It doesn’t matter that it’s named after a deadly storm, the Tornado is simply much faster than any land or water vehicle and is specifically designed to attack.
While some use the Tornado to hover over enemies and shoot them from above, others use it to aggressively track down enemies flying cars, trucks, boats, and other planes at speeds as high as 140 knots (160 MPH). Players can unlock the Tornado by completing the Best Friends Forever Mission.
1 MDI-921V
When it comes to the fastest plane in Saints Row, the MDI-921v VTOL is leaps and bounds ahead of its helicopter competition. Players of previous Saints Row games will recognize the slight variation on the previous F-69 VTOL jet, which can only be unlocked upon completing the game’s final story mission: Showdown.
The Vertical Take-Off Landing (VTOL) aircraft has jet and hover modes, meaning it can race through the air at lightning speed while taking on slower, relaxed missions. It’s also packed with lasers and missiles to take out enemies in an instant, but in terms of speed, the MDI-921 is the fastest vehicle in the entire game.
