Of Star Wars: Hunters on the horizon, fans of the franchise have plenty of video game action to look forward to. Over the years, the Star Wars Movies have given way to a plethora of great video games that have introduced new and exciting characters, especially villains, to the universe.

From recognizable villains like Darth Vader to legends from the vast universe like Admiral Thrawn, the Star Wars The video game universe is a gagging hive of scum and rogue. While many great goons have come out of the games, the most dastardly of them have impressed players enough and a larger portion of Star Wars lore.

Reelo Baruk (Star Wars Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast)

Most villains in the Star Wars games are powerful Sith Lords or dangerous bounty hunters, but Reelo Baruk turned out to be a simple yet effective villain. The Rodian mobster had close ties to Jabba the Hutt and had his greedy fingers in several criminal pies until he collided with Jedi Kyle Katarn in Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast.

Reelo Baruk provided the power for Dark Jedi Desann’s Empire Reborn faction and even captured Lando Calrissian after Han Solo’s misadventure on Bespin. While Reelo may not be the most powerful villain, he stood out from the crowd and showed a different kind of dark side.


General Rom Mohc (Star Wars: Dark Forces)

Although he is not one of the most famous wars villains, General Rom Mohc was the antagonist in one of the best Star Wars games of all time. Mohc was a celebrated veteran of the Clone Wars who joined the Empire and became obsessed with cybernetics.

As explained in Dark ForcesMohc’s quest to develop the ultimate soldier led him to create the Dark Troopers, and he even got the support of Darth Vader. Although he was eventually defeated by Kyle Katarn, Mohc almost used his brand new technology to defeat the young Jedi.

Dark Jedi Jerec (Star Wars Jedi Knight: Dark Forces II)

With sinister-looking glasses, the Dark Jedi Jerec allowed himself to succumb completely to his dark impulses and become a heel. Working as a terrifying inquisitor for the Empire, Jerec did his duty with clinical precision that bordered on obsession.


Jerec became the target of Kyle Katarn’s revenge after the Dark Jedi invaded the Valley of the Jedi in search of the trapped force that contained the valley. Jerec was a particularly ruthless villain who really showed the true evil of the dark side, and the corrupting influence that absolute power can have on one.

Boba Fett (Shadows Of The Empire)

Already established as one of the largest Star Wars movie villains of all time, it was only natural that bounty hunter Boba Fett would also make his way into video games. The infamous villain was not the main opponent of Shadows of the Empirebut he served as a truly memorable boss fight.


With hero Dash Rendar hot on his heels, the jetpack athlete villain fights on a landing pad and shows off his impressive arsenal of weapons. He had already been shown to defeat another bounty hunter earlier in the game, and although he was defeated by Rendar, he lived to fight another day.

Prince Xizor (Shadows Of The Empire)

Few could have the ear of Emperor Palpatine during the Galactic Civil War, but the F only Prince Xizor was one such person. Longing for power within the realm, Xizor carried out a plan to kill Luke Skywalker in order to lower Vader’s status and make himself the Emperor’s right-hand man.

What he hadn’t counted on was an attack from Dash Rendar, who was assisted by several other notable heroes in rescuing Princess Leia. Though physically impressive, Xizor’s real strength came from his wealth and connections that could be just as dangerous as any coercive.

The Inquisitorius (Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order)


although Jedi Fallen Order great stuff added to Star Wars canon also helped flesh out previous characters and ideas in a more exciting way. After the Jedi Purge, Darth Sidious founded the Inquisitorius as a group of ruthless, evil Jedi tasked with tracking down Jedi who survived the massacre.

In Fallen Order, hero Cal Kestis is chased by the Inquisitorius and must fight the dangerous assassins to survive. The inquisitors were usually turned to the dark side by torture, and that gave them an extra hard edge when it came to carrying out their orders. More of a group than a single entity, when the Inquisitorius acted together, posed an exceptionally deadly challenge.


Darth Malgus (Star Wars: The Old Republic)


The heroes and villains of The Old Republic are legendary within the Star Wars fandom, and one of the most unique villains is certainly Darth Malgus. Malgus, a notoriously powerful Sith who oversaw some of the most successful military strikes during the Sith Empire’s reign, chafed against authority and had his own way of doing things.

Widely regarded as one of the most powerful Sith of all, Malgus fought for constant change within the Empire, and had somewhat progressive political views when it came to racing. However, he was still an incredibly ruthless conqueror who eschewed a political position in favor of more action on the front lines.

Darth Nihilus (Star Wars: Knights Of The Old Republic II)

Star Wars has its fair share of really evil villains, but Darth Nihilus existed all alone in an empire when it came to absolute villains. Infused with nearly endless Sith power, Nihilus only existed to consume worlds and had committed genocide on a planetary scale to satisfy his quest for power.

Darth Nihilus wore a skull-like mask just to bring the point home more, Darth Nihilus was the Star Wars Grim Reaper equivalent, and he often acted on that distinction. What made Nihilus such a compelling villain was that his evil stemmed from a deep-seated hatred of all life, and there was nothing he wouldn’t do to harm others.

Admiral Thrawn (Star Wars: TIE Fighter)

Admiral Thrawn was already a notable figure in the expanded universe before he appeared in TIE Fighter, but the game helped cement its place in the canon. The brilliant military strategist gave commands throughout the game and was actually the driving force behind the story that runs throughout the game.

While he wasn’t technically a villain in TIE Fighter since the user plays as an imperial soldier, he was a culprit nonetheless. His leadership skills were unmatched and his tactical know-how gave him the advantage over the rebels he considered inferior.

Darth Vader (Star Wars: The Force Unleashed)

Darth Vader’s character arc is the stuff of Star Wars legend, but The Unleashed Power let users learn about the man in the black helmet. Vader acted as Starkiller’s secret master throughout the game and was actually the antagonist, despite never fighting his apprentice.

Using Starkiller for whatever he wanted, Vader turned out to be not only untrustworthy, but downright mean. Obviously fans had already seen how ruthless Vader could be in the movies, but the fact that he would repeatedly betray an ally made him an even bigger chop. As he came into the game with an established backstory, his ongoing narrative only added to his intrigue and helped cement his place as the ultimate Star Wars villain.
