Solstice is now more than halfway through, leaving fans little time to wrap up any triumphs they’re working on. In addition, Season of the Haunted is also nearing its end, with a big Lot 2 reveal flow fast approaching. Not only are Bungie expected to reveal the first trailer for the next major expansion Lightfall, but also details of the next season and Arc 3.0 subclass revisions.

In addition to upcoming content, Bungie also revealed new details about the Season 18 raid. While the studio chose not to reveal which Destiny raid that it chose to bring back confirmed it will launch on Aug. 26 at 10 a.m. PT. While Bungie has lowered its communication levels due to continued harassment from its employees, the weekly blog post remains a valuable source of detail for Lot 2.

Meanwhile, the weekend merchant Xur is back in Lot 2. Follow this guide for his most current weekend location, news of his exotic figure quest, as well as a review of all the exotic and legendary gear he brought for the weekend of July 29, 2022.

Where is Xur?

This weekend, Lot 2 players can find Xur in the Tower hangar.

From the default landing zone, immediately turn left and follow the path down into the hangar. After entering the hangar, turn left again past Arach Jalaal and his Dead Orbit crew and up a metal staircase. Xur stands on a metal platform at the back of this room overlooking the mountain ranges below.

Class armor and exotic figure

The role of Xur continues to provide the usual weekly quests, exotics, and legendary gear. Not only are these quests required to purchase a second ill-fated engram, but they are also required to acquire ancient exotic gear from the Tower kiosk. Players can earn a new figure by completing strikes and winning crucible or gambit matches. Earn bonus points by playing with clanmates or completing more challenging activities.

Xur continues to sell even more gear beyond its usual content. In addition to his normal exotic gear, Xur now has Legendary Weapons and Armor for sale in exchange for Legendary Shards and Glimmer.

Exotic armor

Karnstein Armlets – Warlock gloves

It’s been about half a year since players last saw them with Xur, but this weekend the Karnstein Armlets are back in stock. This is a strong exotic Warlock item, which gives the player extra survivability thanks to the exotic perk. After a melee kill, Vampire’s Caress restores a large portion of health, while also continuing to restore health for a short time afterwards.

This is an item that all Warlocks should have as it is a very strong item in PvE situations and activities such as Gambit, Escalation Protocol or Blind Well where large groups of enemies need to be defeated. There are much better options for PvP players, but it’s a fun exotic to play with otherwise, even with a decent roll on this week’s armor.

Emptiness improved. Statistical values:

  • Mobility +19
  • Resilience +10
  • Restore +3
  • Discipline +14
  • Intellect +7
  • Force +10

St0mp-EE5 – Hunter Leg Armor

Also known as the Stompies, these are purely movement-based exotics for hunters. The intrinsic advantage, hydraulic boosters, increases the player’s sprint speed and sliding distance. In addition, this exotic further improves High Jump, Strafe Jump and Triple Jump.

For platform-heavy activities like Raids or Exotic/PvE quests that require a lot of movement and jumping, these boots can be a lifesaver. While there are much better options for more battle-specific modes like Crucible, the St0mp-EE5 should definitely be part of any Hunter’s armor rotation. The roll is a bit odd this week as mobility is one of the lowest stats and this is primarily a mobility-based exotic. However, as the highest roll, players can probably make up for the difference with mods or maybe with other armor.

Arch improved. Statistical values:

  • Mobility +4
  • Resilience +22
  • Restore +10
  • Discipline +9
  • Intellect +17
  • Force +2

ACD/0 Feedback Fence – Titan Gloves

The intrinsic perk called Fury Conductors builds energy when you get melee kills. Getting hit by a melee attack not only reduces incoming damage and unleashes the currently stored energy on an explosion.

It may not be the best exotic Titan available, but it remains a solid choice, especially for players who enjoy PvP content. Getting punched and causing small explosions is a powerful, fun and destructive ability to have. Unfortunately, this week’s stat roll is the lowest of the three, so again, it’s not a required pick-up by any means.

Arch improved. Statistical values:

  • Mobility +10
  • Resilience +8
  • Restore +14
  • Discipline +12
  • Intellect +10
  • Force +6

Exotic Weapon

For those who like shooting strange objects from weapons, such as the new Parasite exotic grenade launcher, they’ll want to give The Colony a try. Insectoid Robot Grenades is the intrinsic perk that causes the weapon to fire grenades that are actually spider robots. Once fired, these devices chase enemy targets (even on/around walls) and explode at close range. As if that wasn’t enough, the pistol also fills its magazine when holstered.

For now, this weapon remains a top pick for PvP players thanks to its homing rounds, so The Colony remains an easy recommendation for those who don’t already have it. Being able to track targets in the Crucible is also incredibly valuable.

Additional benefits:

  • Linear Compensator
  • High Speed Laps
  • Composite stock

Hawkmoon and Dead Man’s Tale Rolls

Since Season 16 removed the exotic missions Presage and Harbinger, Xur also sells both Hawkmoon and Dead Man’s Tale with randomized roles. Players should visit him every weekend as he carries various roles with him.

Hawkmoon sandwiches:

  • Arrowhead Rem
  • Alloy Magazine
  • Distance Meter
  • textured grip

The Story of the Dead Man

  • Extended barrel
  • High caliber rounds
  • Vorpal Weapon
  • Hand-laid stock

Here’s the full rundown of Xur’s exotic stock in Lot 2 before July 29, 2022:
