Stardew Valley expanded is a hugely popular mod for the original game, created by FlashShifter. Adding a huge amount of content including new locations, characters and events makes it an exciting mod for Stardew Valley fans. Fold out takes some work to set up, but it’s worth it for the new content, which blends in nicely with the rest of the game.

Along with new characters and new content for original characters from Stardew Valley, Fold out brings a list of new consumables, recipes, and fish. Some of these food recipes have helpful enhancements, making farming, fishing, and mining much easier to handle. The recipes are listed below, but a quick note first – this excludes Grampleton Orange Chicken, which cannot be sold or made after watching Sophia’s 6 Heart Event.

10 Baked Berries Oatmeal

  • Ingredients:
    15 x salmon berry, 15 x blackberry, 1 x sugar, 2 x wheat flour

  • restores:
    200 energy, 80 health

  • Improvements:
    +4 farming, +4 foraging, +2 speed (duration 26 minutes)

Baked Berry Oatmeal is a powerful recipe when there is a lot to harvest. With buffs in farming, foraging and speed, it will also give players a huge energy and health boost. An excellent all-rounder and definitely worth it for avid collectors.

Players can get this recipe from the Bear, who lives on the corner of Forest West. It’s worth visiting Bear’s shop for ingredients and recipes, although it can be difficult to find. Players must follow a path near Aurora Vineyards until they find an opening in the tree line.

Players can give Baked Berry Oatmeal to Andy, Demetrius, Linus and Robin with good results.

9 Big Bark Burger

  • Ingredients:
    1 x puppy fish, 1 x bread, 1 x oil

  • restores:
    213 energy, 95 health

  • Improvements:
    +1 speed, +3 attack (8 minutes duration)

The Big Bark Burger, while trickier to make (because you have to get a puppy fish first), is perfect to eat before a fight. It restores a decent amount of energy and health, and the buffs are useful, with +1 speed and +3 attack.

Players can get the recipe from Gus once they reach 5 hearts with him. Gus loves Big Bark Burgers! Martin also appreciates the gift of a burger when gamers want to impress him.

  • Ingredients:
    1 x Ferngill Primrose, 1 x Goldenrod, 1 x Winter Star Rose, 1 x Wheat Flour, 1 x Sugar, 1 x Large Egg

  • restores:
    188 energy, 84 health

  • Improvements:
+2 luck, +2 foraging, +2 speed (duration of 13 minutes)

The Flower Cookie is an interesting one. It takes a bit of foraging to collect the ingredients, but it provides buffs for luck, foraging, and speed. Perfect for tracking down harder-to-find items when players are on a foraging mission.

The recipe for Flower Cookies comes from the Berenwinkel. If players want to impress Sophia, she will appreciate the gift of a flower cookie.

7 frog legs

  • Ingredients:
    1 x frog, 1 x oil, 1 x wheat flour

  • restores:
    75 energy, 33 health

  • Improvements:
    +2 speed, +2 defense (duration 8 minutes)

Frog legs give you a decent dose of speed and defense and are considered a delicacy (and therefore an excellent gift) by Linus, Pierre and Magnus.

Marlon sells this recipe for a cool 2000g. Players can catch frogs in the mountain area in the spring and summer, but this requires a fishing level of 5 first.

6 Glazed Butterfish

  • Ingredients:
    1 x butterfish, 1 x wheat flour, 1 x oil

  • restores:
    200 energy, 89 health

  • Improvements:
    +2 fish, +2 luck (8 minutes duration)

Glazed Butterfish can make a huge difference when players want to catch rare fish. With a +2 buff to both fishing and luck, it’s worth it. It has relatively few ingredients, which is a plus. Butterfish can be caught in the Forest West area or at Shearwater Bridge.

The recipe for Glazed Butterfish comes from Gus after players reach Friendship Level 5. Andy, Claire and Sam love Glazed Butterfish.

5 Mixed Berry Pie

  • Ingredients:

+2 agriculture, max. energy (+50) (duration 26 minutes)

The Mixed Berry Pie is the ideal pick-me-up for tough farming days. With +2 farming and another 50 points for energy, it gives players plenty of time to get a good chunk of the work done.

The recipe comes from Gus for 3500g. It’s also a popular gift for villagers: many characters love a Mixed Berry Pie, including Andy, Claire, Evelyn, Jas, Leah, Martin, Sandy, Sophia, Susan, and Vincent.

4 Mushroom Berries Rice

  • Ingredients:
    3 x poisonous mushroom, 3 x red baneberry, 1 x rice, 1 x sugar

  • restores:
    3 energy, 1 health

  • Improvements:
    +3 Mining, Max Energy -50, +32 Magnetism, +3 Attack, +3 Defense (13 minute duration)

Although poisonous mushrooms mixed with berries don’t sound as appetizing, the mushroom berry rice recipe has some interesting benefits. It reduces the maximum energy by 50 points, but it increases the magnetism by 32 points. Magnetism increases the radius in which objects are automatically added to the player’s inventory, making it easier to collect objects.

The recipe for Mushroom Berry Rice is from Marlon’s shop in the Adventurer’s Guild for 1500g.

3 Seaweed salad

  • Ingredients:
    2 x dulse seaweed, 2 x seaweed, 1 x oil

  • restores:
    175 energy, 79 health

  • Improvements:
+1 fishing, Max Energy +30 (15 minutes duration)

Seaweed salad is a relatively easy recipe to make, with just a few ingredients. It gives a decent improvement for fishing +1 and increases the max energy by +30 for 15 minutes.

Players can find Willy’s recipe in the bait shop. It costs 1250 grams. (Coincidentally, Willy also really likes seaweed salad, so giving it to him in return is a good choice.)

2 void of pleasure

1 x void eel, void essence (20), solar essence (20)

  • restores:
    3 energy, 1 health

  • Improvements:
    +2 Mining, +2 Luck, Max Energy +20, +2 Magnetism, +2 Speed, +3 Attack

The ominous Void Delight is actually excellent in terms of buffs. It boosts mining, magnetism, speed, and attack, as well as increasing Max Energy by 20 points.

However, the recipe is a bit trickier to get. Players will need a 10-heart relationship with Krobus and will have to pay 5000g. Both Krobus and Magnus love Void Delight as a gift.

1 Void Salmon Sushi

  • Ingredients:
    1 x void salmon, 1 x void mayonnaise, 3 x seaweed

  • restores:
    3 energy, 3 health

  • Improvements:
    +3 fish, +3 luck, +5 defense, max energy +50

Void Salmon Sushi gives a good boost to fishing and luck, so it is the best recipe if players want to catch rare fish. It also increases Max Energy to +50, so it’s ideal for long fishing sessions. It also increases defense by as much as 5 points.

The recipe can be purchased from Krobus after reaching 10 hearts on the friendship scale. It costs 5000 grams to buy. It is also a good gift for Krobus.
