There are plenty of dinosaur themed video games in the various stores, with our personal favorites in the Jurassic World Evolution line. Path of Titans tries something different though, giving you the chance to live as a dino in a massive massive multiplayer world.

Path of Titans is already available on PC and mobile, with a visit to the Alderon Games Launcher the best way to access it. While it’s now also come to Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PS4 and PS5, you can play cross-platform while proving yourself in what could well be the greatest dinosaur adventure ever.

Path of Titans arrives in Game Preview ‘Closed Beta’ form as Alderon Games tests things ahead of a Nintendo Switch drop later in the year. However you play, it gives you the chance to survive in this dino MMO, where you evolve from an egg and hope to grow up.

There are no less than twenty-six of the best dinosaurs available in Path of Titans, with the ecosystem itself taking care of not only AI creatures roaming the land, but also up to 200 other human players. How you play is largely up to you.

“The launch of the Founder’s Edition closed beta is an exciting milestone for us and the Path of Titans community,” said Matthew Cassells, co-founder of Alderon Games. “The addition of console platforms will bring a lot of new players into the game, and the addition of T-Rex hatchlings will make it very interesting around Panjura.”

The Founders Edition of Path of Titans gives you access to Panjura, a 5 mi x 5 mi map you look at to explore and survive; rewards and incentives to move you forward. There will also be a ton of quests to enjoy, as well as the chance to customize things to your liking, and change your dino details with different attributes and abilities.

The main features are all:

  • Massively Multiplayer: The vast, dynamic environment is filled with AI critters, quest zones, and caves set up for you to create a home base, on servers for up to 200 players. Team up with players to take on challenges together or join friends in a herd for even bigger, coordinated group efforts to take on the big in-game events! Or go it alone and chart your own path, how you survive is completely up to you.
  • Character Customization: Unlock skins and alternate species of each dinosaur genus. Change the individual colors of your dinosaur character and apply alternative subtle markings. Choose from multiple species of your favorite dinosaur, each with unique visual characteristics. Create a unique creature for you!
  • Questing & Events: Complete missions that encourage and reward immersive collaboration and unlock achievements to collect exclusive in-game content. Collect materials to build nests to sleep in, hunt various rare critters and PvP dinosaurs, search for hidden plants or defend your herd members, all while enduring natural events that will shape the landscape around you.
  • Traits and Skills: Spend points to customize your skills and attacks to customize your character to your favorite playstyle. Exchange one of your bite attacks for a claw attack or a tail move, or reduce your HP and damage in exchange for more stamina and faster moves.
  • Swim, Dive & Fish: Dive completely underwater and hunt AI fish and avoid being eaten by prehistoric crocodiles. Lurk just below the water’s surface and dive out of the water to surprise unsuspecting prey. Traverse the complex river system of the redwoods and explore the depths of the swampy lakes. Make the most of your environment to survive as a semi-aquatic fighter! Coming soon is Gondwa, a map of islands with extensive backwaters, lagoons and coastal inlets. Home to your creatures of the sky, land and water!
  • Modding: Community is important to any game and the Path of Titans team recognizes the amount of passion and talent that dinosaur enthusiasts have. Our game has powerful modding tools that can be downloaded and used by anyone for free. With extensive documentation to guide modders, anyone can upload their content for cross-platform cross-play gamers to enjoy.

The Xbox store will bring you the free download of Path of Titans on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S. We’ll pick it up and pretend we’re a T-rex. Will you?
