The Chucky series has officially revealed that its second season will premiere just in time for Halloween. The horror television series follows the events of Don Mancini's Child's Play films and features the return of notable alumni. Mancini serves as one of the executive producers on the series, as well as its creator.

The first season of the Chucky series contained 8 episodes that aired on a weekly basis on both Syfy and USA Network. Shortly after all 8 episodes aired, the series was added to Peacock's catalog. Chucky includes the return of Brad Douriff, who has voiced the iconic horror doll since 1988. In Curse of Chucky, Douriff was joined by his daughter Fiona in the horror series as Nica Pierce. Fiona also returned to reprise her role in the Chucky series.

The official Twitter account for the television series tweeted a teaser trailer that revealed that Chucky's second season will premiere on October 5, 2022. The teaser trailer was Halloween themed with various children and teenagers dressed in costumes. The teaser breaks up the images of the teens in costumes to warn viewers to get ready for this Halloween. It then cuts to a closeup of a pumpkin carved to resemble Chucky's face. The pumpkin has a knife lodged into it near his right eye, and his signature maniacal laugh can be heard in the background. The final shot of the teaser is the Chucky logo and narration that promises a new season this October.

The placement of the knife on the pumpkin in the teaser resembles one of the many scars that litter Chucky's face throughout the Child's Play films. Season 2 of Chucky has already begun to add to its cast. It was previously announced that Devon Sawa will return for season 2 as a different character. In season 1, Sawa played twin brothers Lucas and Logan Wheeler. The series has also added Lachlan Watson to the cast, who will portray Glen/Glenda, Chucky and Tiffany's child.

Chucky introduced a new generation of teens to be terrorized by the sinister doll. The series began with Jake Wheeler (Zackary Arthur) buying the Good Guys doll at a garage sale with the intention of using his head for a sculpture. The sinister acts of the doll change the course of Jake's life by killing his father and forcing him to live with his cousin Junior (Teo Briones) who bullies him at school. Eventually, Junior, Devon (Björgvin Arnarson), Lexy (Alyvia Alyn Lind), and her younger sister Caroline (Carina Battrick) are all pulled into Chucky's twisted game.

Aside from these new characters, the series also saw appearances from Child's Play alum. Andy Barclay (Alex Vincent), Nica Pierce, and Tiffany Valentine (Jennifer Tilly) all appeared throughout the Chucky series to reprise their roles from the films. Andy was joined by his foster sister Kyle (Christine Elise), who aided him in his attempts to help the children. Chucky season 1 ended with Jake, Devon, and Lexy narrowly escaping the sinister doll, while Andy was being held hostage by Tiffany. What the outcome for the Chucky doll army will be in Chucky's second season will be discovered this October.

Chucky is now streaming on Peacock.
