Story of Seasons: Pioneers of Olive Town is more than a story where players can farm to their heart’s content. As with any good farming simulator that traces the history of harvest moonthere are plenty of pleasant suitors eagerly awaiting marriage.
With five original Singles options and another three added through DLCs, there’s a total of eight Singles for the player to get to know and hopefully settle one day. Unlike older titles, Story of seasons let both sexes pursue a relationship with these men, which is why it’s just to decide who’s the best fit.
8 Iori The Runaway Royal
Iori is a gentle soul with much hidden underneath, coming from a distant land with his vassal Dosetsu; it will take the player some time to unfold this mystery man. He may not appeal to many players due to his past life of luxury, leaving many of his day-to-day tasks to Dosetsu, but that doesn’t stop Iori from being a nice person.
During his heart events, players will begin to understand this caring nature as it prompts the player to distance themselves from him for their safety. This is later discovered to be because he is being chased by a Ninja, although the player can eventually convince Iori to let them in so they can protect each other.
7 Mysterious motorcyclist Damon
Like Iori’s coldness, Damon begins to almost completely ignore the player and eventually begins to open up to them through the encouragement of his best friend Lars. Damon’s outward demeanor suggests that he doesn’t care much about many things, but it’s actually quite the opposite since, like his family who own the pet store, he has a deep love for and cares for animals.
In addition, Damon is very fond of motorcycling, which the player will eventually participate in, although invited by Lars, not Damon. A big problem with his romance is the lack of effort that Damon seems to put into it, as Lars has to persuade his friend to try harder for the player.
6 Ralph the righteous ranger
A simple man to please, Ralph is delighted to have his partner feed him bread and soup while protecting the wilderness on his patrols. Unlike many of the other romantic options in Pioneers of Olive Townit’s hard to see any connection between the player and Ralph, although that doesn’t stop him from being a likable character.
He takes his job very seriously, and many of his events revolve around being the best ranger he can be to rekindle his love of football, which he sadly had to stop due to injury. Spending time with Ralph while he is at work is a way for players to win him over.
5 Traveling Chef Raeger
Added to Pioneers of Olive Town during the Terracotta Oasis DLC pack released in June 2021, gamers who played the original Story of seasons on the 3DS, Raeger will be remembered as one of the bachelors in it. He hasn’t changed much since then, for better or for worse.
Raeger has decided to travel to discover new cuisines while his restaurant is temporarily closed; this is when he will finally meet the player. During his heart events, the player encourages Raeger to take a break from cooking, which is something he struggles immensely with, while also discovering what happened to his restaurant that caused it to close.
4 Ludus The Master Crafter
Originating from Trio of citiesfinally got to meet this well-known character of fans of the franchise again at Ludus during the Twilight Island Expansion pack. Ludus hopes to experience more cultures by exploring with his apprentice Tigre, thus meeting the player again.
Ludus loves to fix things and he has many skills that make him a great craftsman. In many of his heart events during the DLC, the player encounters Ludus as he sets out to bring the Twilight Isle into peak shape. Helping Ludus discover the culture of Olive Town through a guided tour and the cuisine is a surefire way for players to win his heart.
3 Kind of a salesman Jack
Ranking Jack so highly seems quite controversial as many players argue about his appeal. He helps his family run the shop in town, although his sales skills leave much to be desired, as he admits. Eventually, as the town expands, Jack gets his own booth where he displays his carvings, but even then he’s not very good at selling them.
In addition to his lack of social skills and the desire of many players for him to grow up a bit, Jack is a very sweet person with heart events that can be both funny and warming. He may not be everyone’s desired romance, but Jack certainly tries, even if it doesn’t seem like it.
2 Animal lover Neil
Another DLC character, Neil, has been added to the game from the 3DS title A new beginning during the Windswept Falls expansion. This gave players another broody bachelor with a soft spot for fluffy sheep or feathered chickens for romance during their game.
Neil may seem like a hard egg to crack as he is known for being very stubborn or cold to those he doesn’t know, but as seen during his heart events, this facade disappears to show a good natured man who absolutely adores chickens. Neil is by far one of the best-added singles in the DLCs, with plenty for players to learn and love.
1 Emilio the romantic fisherman
Players looking for a man who values his family, has a cheerful personality and a musical ability, look no further than Emilio. He has a lot of love for life, especially the ocean, and still plenty of room to love the player too. It’s hard to find fault with him.
Many of his heartwarming events are incredibly heartwarming to watch as he is a kind and sharing person from the start, giving the player the last piece of cheesecake available. This leads the player to almost become part of Emilio’s family and spend an afternoon on the beach playing his guitar.
Story of Seasons: Pioneers of Olive Town is now available on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and PC.
